This dress captures many of the things I love about Boden. The workmanship is excellent--the quality of clothes construction has been on the decline for 50 years, even at top designers, but Boden is an exception. In addition to the construction, the dress is made of good wool, has exceptionally nice lining (in surprisingly nice colors), is well cut, and survived a trip through my washing machine (on delicate/cold water), which few wool garments will. Can be dressed up or down.

I just didn't get this dress. Beautiful fabric and construction but was very wide/boxy/short on me. If you look cute in that style, you'll love this, but if I ordered small enough to have it semi-form fitting, it was too short. At my true size, it was not flattering.

This is a great dress. I have in two colors - black and red. Wear both to office, but wear the red dress for special occasions. The dress is very flattering. The dress is tailored through the middle so it doesn't look too boxy. The material wears well and the pockets make this dress very comfortable.

I bought this for work, was disappointed the blue was sold out, but decided to try the black even though I have plenty of black dresses. It fitted very well, skimmed the figure without being too body conscious, great pockets, notch collar very work appropriate, lovely lining and fabric quality.

I found this dress too boxy for me, and the sunset color is PINK. HOT PINK. If on sale in navy I might go for it and get it altered.

When I first saw this dress on the very thin model, I was concerned whether it would work for my shape with hips. Don't be afraid to try it! It fits wonderfully and somehow accomodates an hourglass figure while still looking trim and straight. It will be a great dress for work or occasions. So pleased with this purchase!

This dress has a nice shape, feels comfortable, and has pockets! The only thing that did not work for me was that the "Sunset" color was bright salmon, rather than red or reddish orange as it appears online. I really wanted to like this dress but had to send it back in the end.

I've purchased this dress in both the navy and the rouge colorways and love both! The rouge is a gorgeous soft coral orange that looks great on a fair complexion with pink undertones and dark strawberry blonde hair. I wore it for Easter in South Carolina and will be wearing it this summer in Washington DC. The fabric is smooth, and thick enough to drape beautifully - it floats away from the mid section to disguise multiple flaws. It is professional and fun at the same time. Because of the neckline, I'm likely to pair it with a crew neck cardigan or jacket rather than any collared jacket or v-neck cardigan. I'm 5'2" and the 8R hem comes to just above the knees- perfect for me. Thanks Boden- this will be in my closet and worn for years to come.

Got it in navy. Spot on fit, very much in line with my other Boden dresses (size 8, when in the rest of my life I am size 10). Pretty much perfect for conservative old DC, but I will dress up with pink or purple shoes/scarves/etc. The fit is lovely for my pearish shape. Though I was skeptical of the pockets right at my widest point, they seem to be tailored well without bowing out, and I can imagine standing jauntily with hands in pockets from time to time. Contrast red satin lining is a lovely very Boden touch.
