I am very happy with these brogues. I am pleased that they are all leather and are all leather lined inside. I need my shoes to be all leather lined inside, and I would have returned them if any part of the lining or foot bed had been synthetic or fabric. I usually wear a size 42, and these shoes were a perfect fit. I have bunions that do not hurt if I am wearing the right shoes. These are the right shoes! Last of all, I bought the tan color, which is the most classic in my opinion. I prefer the smooth leathers over the suede shoes. Please, please keep on making these just as they are. I always want this classic style made just this way available to me.

I dream of the day when Boden makes shoes in American sizes! Sorry Boden, but your sizes are too limited. I don't want a "One Size Fits Most" shoe.
And if a shoe is going to have laces please make it narrow enough to tighten them on a narrow foot and be able to loosen them enough for a wider foot. These shoes run wide and short. I have a narrow foot and even when they are tightened to their maximum they are too wide. I kept them but am not thrilled with the fit.

I was thrilled when I opened my box of Brogues. These shoes are beautiful and classy. I have narrow feet, which makes finding shoes that fit well a difficult task. These shoes run narrow, which is a big plus for me. I can wear them to work with jeans or slacks or out and about with a cute skirt.

For years I have been looking for a stylish, comfortable pair of Oxfords, or as Boden calls them, Brogues. I even tried men's shoes. But Boden's interpretation hits the mark: they feel great, look handsome but tailored for a women's foot, and I find myself wearing them with outfits I hadn't anticipated. The light grey is a perfect spring shoe. These were my first purchase from Boden and have kept me coming back to shop for more (I haven't been as lucky with subsequent purchases but I keep trying.)

These are versatile and cute. I also like the contrasting laces. However, the fit is off. I was hoping they would stretch like leather tends to do, but they were still too tight. I'm hoping the next size up works out.

Well made and comfortable!

This is my third pair of brogues from Boden and though not quite as comfortable as the suede versions offered last fall these are as nice looking. I had to size up as the overall shape is narrower than the previous versions. Hopefully my foot won't look too long and pointy at size 41. These are also a bit on the stiff side and I hope they will be more comfortable after some wear. The color is terrific for summer and a nice alternative to sandals with skimmer pants or linen trousers.

I've searched everywhere for the right brogues - not too manly, not too embellished - these are perfect. Beautifully made and fabulous to look at. Love them. They are my first pair of Boden shoes. I am very happy with my purchase.

I REALLY wanted to like these. I ordered two different sizes of the brown leather, since previous reviewers had mentioned they run small. I am usually a 9 or 9-1/2 in American sizes and ordered both a 41 and 42. The 41 arrived very quickly as it came from PA and I liked that I could track it. The 42 took forever and had no tracking at all. Based on the 41s, I never even opened the 42s. I would NOT recommend these to a friend. The leather is VERY poor quality and looks like PVC. Doesn't even smell remotely like leather. The fit was too large (although it was comfortable and only about 1/2 size too big). The soles don't look leather either. I only got one pair of laces and it was very clear that someone had not only tried on the shoes before (to be expected sometimes) but had worn them enough indoors to crease the toe. Overall I found these to be made from very poor quality materials, especially for the money I was paying. I am returning both pairs and looking for shoes elsewhere. This was my first Boden purchase.

I adore these brogues (having purchased the black brogue short boots last winter, and wearing them nearly every day!) except I'm glad I took the advice of one of the reviewers that they run small/narrow. I always wear a 37, but I ordered one size up in these, and I'm glad I did. The 38 fits perfectly. I love the greyish-blue hue and they were extremely comfortable the first time I wore them, even without socks. No blisters here! Boden shoes are the BEST.
