These shoes are super cute and really well made. They also are going to take some work to break in. I shoved my bare feet into my new shoes and headed out the door. Bad move, I was hobbling around by midday. As the are super cute and I took the sticky stuff off the soles before heading to work, I'm committed to taking the time to break them in. Only next time I wear them, I'll put on stocking or socks

I bought both the orange and navy. Love them both. I get many compliments on the orange shoe and, so far, haven't had a day yet when I wore them without receiving a comment. They take some time to break in, though, and are very stiff out of the box.

These shoes looked adorabe online, and out of the box. When I tried them on, however, they made my feet look enormous! (I'm a size 9/40.) The vamp of the shoe crosses my feet at their widest point, making my feet look at least a size or two larger than they are.

It's a shame that the shoes weren't more flattering, as they're very comfortable, and a beautiful shade of deep navy.

Love these shoes. I love the retro vibes. I don't look good in absolute flats and these are the perfect substitute, heel is low and stacked making it very comfortable. The pointed toe is adorable. I normally wear an 8 to an 8.5. I ordered both a 38 and a 39 and definitely needed the 39. The toe box was tight in the smaller size but very comfortable in the 39. I ordered the orange - I'd call it tomato soup red. I like these so much that I ordered a pair in both the other colors (and I don't usually do that). I hope Boden comes out with more colors in this shoe. Also a non-patent leather would be great.

They are attractive & the orange is agreat color. I have narrow feet an dthey are a tad wide along the front of the foot.

I loved the look of these shoes. The style and color (nude) were perfect. I have large feet (42) and it is very hard to find cute shoes that fit well. Boden shoes have always fit me beautifully. These were incredibly tight and uncomfortable, and I am so sad to send them back. This is the third item I've sent back this spring - a first for me. Maybe they are using a different manufacturer?

The retro look is very reminiscent of the 1960's British look which I love. I am more comfortable in heels and was searching for a flat that I could wear without feeling dumpy in. These don't sacrifice style while providing me with a bit of heel. Love them with the Retro Pocket dress and also straight legged pants.

I originally tried the patent leather loafers in orange and the color was too pale (but oddly also slightly fluorescent), plus the fit was off (they wouldn't stay on my heels). On a whim I decided to try these, and it was love straight out of the box! The color is a true orange, not too bright and definitely not coral. The heels are adorable but feel like flats, and the overall attention to detail and styling make these unique. They look to be well made, but as others have said, the slippery, thin leather sole and narrow toe box kept me from giving these 5 stars.

Boden, I promise that it doesn't take away from the quality of a shoe to put some grip/traction on the sole, and while I'm still willing to suffer comfort for the sake of shoes this cute, please listen to us when we say that the pointy toes narrow too quickly, give us a bit more room! Fix those issues, and I promise I'll get these in a rainbow of colors!

I wear a US 8 and ordered these in 38, and they stay on my heel and fit great, other than the slight squishing of my toes.

I bought these shoes to go with the summer ponte dress in orange. A great match. The shoes are dressy without being a high heel. There are times when I don't want the 3-4 inch heel with my dresses. These shoes will be great for work or on the weekend with a pair of pants. The shoes are generously sized. I could wear a trouser sock if necessary with them. The weather here in NY is too cool for the dress, but I can't wait to wear the dress and shoes together. Boden products are quality made.
