Great addition to the wardrobe and perfect for in-between weather. Very well made and polished look (not sure what to make about the "unfinished edges" comments ... not the case at all). This will be my go-to travel coat this fall -- goes with everything and smarter looking than your average jacket or trench.

Lovely light-weight coat/jacket. The fabric is soft and drapes well. True to size (155# hourglass 5'9") in the 10L, hits about 2 inches above knee. The overlap for the opening in front is not generous (36D) and including a belt would have given one more options to wear it as the coat has no buttons and cannot be closed. But overall a high quality and wearable piece.

I will use this jacket when the weather cools off. I selected this jacket because of its simple, classic design. I was very happy with the jacket when it arrived and seems like it will be very warm.

i purchased this in the turquoise and the color is beautiful and the texture is like a boiled wool. i am 5'8 and 135 and the size 6 was right, it just closed but if I wanted to wear something bulky underneath i would size up. The fatal flaw with this sweater coat is that there are no buttons or snaps to keep it closed! it doesn't lay closed or flat and flies open. I wore it and the entire day I was holding both sides closed as I walked. It doesn't stay closed so you lose the effect of the front, all you see is what you are wearing underneath. Any warmth is lost because it doesn't button closed. You walk and it flies open. How could there be not one button or hidden snap? Pockets would be nice as well.

I was really excited about this but was disappointed. This coat looked oddly unfinished. No buttons or way to close it. Who wants a coat that can't close? The exposed seams didn't help. I felt that the hips were wide as well and not being able to close the coat made it tent out in an unflattering way. Loved the material and the blue color but I sent back immediately. Boden, please add hook and eye closures to this!!!!

There is a nice shape to the set-in shoulders making this a flattering design instead of boxy and dowdy. My hips are slightly wider than my bust so I tend to avoid this type of design but it really worked for me b/c of the shoulder shape so I am glad I gave it a try. Easy to wear with a dress but works with jeans too.

Kind of looks like coat lining...

I'm on the fence as to whether to keep this jacket... I like the cut, it's simple and flattering, but the fabric is another matter. Boiled wool quite simply looks quite a bit like coat lining because that's what coat lining often is made of. It doesn't help that the side seams are made to look like they're inside out. So, in a way, this jacket is flattering, and I know it will be warm, but I'm wondering whether I'll be getting weird looks wearing it. A note on fit: I'm 5'9", it looks shorter on me than on the model and, oddly, size 4 looks baggier, especially in the arms. I must have skinny arms, I guess? Of course, the model may be wearing a size 2. Boden, it would really help if you provided the measurements of the models who present your clothes. It would help customers, like me, to know whether to blame the poor fit of a garment on the wrong size or on my own body.
