Unfortunately, I had to send this one back. The dress wrinkled after only trying it on a few times. The horizontal stripes also did not work well for me. I usually love all of my Boden dresses, but, this one went back!

Purple striped version was much darker than picture, and material is quite rough-- a bit like a burlap sack. Likely too casual for work and too thick for hot DC summers.

I ordered this dress in both a size 6 & 8. Both sizes had excess fabric on the back right above the waist. I am 5'4" with a high small waist and high amble hips. I think this dress was cut for a taller woman.
I love the grey and yellow fabric and I dream that Boden will use it for an A-line style. It seems durable and I love the fact that it is machine washable.
Alas, rather then getting the dress tailored I am going to select something else.

I got this dress is the grey and yellow. Perfect spring combination! I consider myself simple but elegant and this dress did it for me. It is such a classy, british, modest look. I'll be wearing it to work, dressy casual, church, etc. I find it workable for multiple occasions which makes me feel like I just purchased more than one dress for the price of one. Isn't that a great feeling?!

I really want to like this dress but I'm not sure it's a keeper. The fabric is heavy (which I like) so it hangs nicely, but the belt doesn't quite work for me. As the fabric is very heavy, the belt is bulky when tied. I ordered a size 6 (I'm 5''5", 120 lbs), my usual Boden size, and the fit is as I expected.

This is a lovely dress! I was so sad it didn't work for me. I would have liked to wear this to work, like the other notch-neck shift I bought from Boden, but apparently sizing is inconsistent. Though I bought the same sizes, while the other notch-neck shift fits perfectly, this one has a very roomy chest, and the bust darts are very low. The almond color is also much darker than it appeared online. I still liked the color, and would have kept the dress if the size worked for me. I can't down-size because they don't make a 2L.
