I love this dress! I get compliments every time I wear it. I am an hourglass slight pear shape and this cut works nicely on me. I wish Boden would make a dress in the same silhouette but in a different fabric like a heavy cotton knit. The fabric is nice but I noticed a few pulls after only wearing the dress a couple of times. Also the sleeves are a little tight where they are gathered at the arm. My arms seem to be standard size so I don't know if other people have the same problem. This dress is a classic and worth the cost if you can afford it. A cheaper/casual version would be nice though.

The color (blue) is a lovely purplish tone. The fabric feels very nice and the lining contributes to the nice way the dress lies and doesn't cling. I found the knot detail detracts from the silouette, sticking out some above the bust. That said, it was lovely to wear and I received compliments

I love this dress!

After reading the reviews that warned how tight it was, I ordered up from a 2 to a 6. The 6 does fit, although seems rather loose-fitting....not so bad, I decided. (I am planning to eventually order the dress again in the red color, and will try a 4 next time, if it goes on sale.)

That being said, the length is wonderful and looks great with high pumps - dressy, elegant, appropriate for all sorts of occasions, if one enjoys dressing up.

In response to a few of the reviews mentioning the "low key hole" - that is definitely not the case for me. The neckline actually seems a bit too high - making this choice a very conservative one, that will, in fact, serve me well for church, memorial services, even some weddings.

It's one of those ideal dresses....a "go to" in my closet.

It's also constructed in that Boden-quality thickness, where wearing a slip is unnecessary.

Another fantastic Boden garment! :)

I love this versatile dress. It took awhile to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I ordered up two sizes, thinking it might be too tight, and it DOES fit, although I am about to order it again in the rosy-red, this time going back down. The black in size 6 has a comfortable fit - not tight, yet not too loose either.

It feels ultra feminine, dressy, elegant and durable. It has a double thickness to it - and in that typically BODEN way of production quality, seems to be of superior construction.

I did not find the keyhole to be too low at all...in fact, was a bit surprised to see that it fits quite conservatively. I can easily wear this to church.

I bought this because I thought it would travel well--and it does. It takes no space, un-wrinkles nicely and lets me feel put-together in no time. The fabric is somewhat thin, though, and if you have a bit of a bulge, anywhere, it will show.

Love the cut of the dress, however the bodice felt a little bulky due to the folding of the fabric. Didn't like the polyester look and feel of the fabric, its purple, not blue, seemed like it should've been made from a nicer fabric, especially for the price. May wear badly, no way to tell, am sending back.

I'm a little short so the keyhole makes this a little tough for work but still doable. I'm also rather curvy and yet I don't feel like a blob in this dress. The waist hits perfectly and gives it some shape.

I ordered this dress in a rose 10. The color and fabric were beautiful! However, I really needed a smaller size, as the waist was too large, and the hem too long. I am 5'6", 130 lbs., usually 8 to 10. The worst feature, at least on me, was the keyhole in the center front. It did not look at all like in the picture online, but was much larger, and too low, with too much exposure. I was going to reorder in a smaller size, but was not sure that would help. I returned it. Probably, just not my dress style.

From the picture and description, I was expecting a shiny satin dress. Out of the box it was a wrinkled mess. It is not satin, more like a stretchy nylon (albeit a very nice lined nylon). Unfortunately it lacks a dressy look. The collar and waist style make it difficult to embellish with jewelry. Apart from wrinkles, the fabric is also very clingy around the waist, hiding nothing. It's a beautiful style, but the fabric just doesn't cut it.
