I bought this dress as an addition to my professional closet, but I think it will getting a lot more use than just that! Because it is form-fitting, it is very sexy, but without showing too much skin or being inappropriate. The material is very durable, and the weight of the dress makes it perfect for three season wear. I can easily pair it with wedge sandals in the spring, or some hose and a heel or ankle boot in the winter. The sizing was a little off for me, but I tend to have difficult proportions to fit as I am very curvaceous and often in-between sizes. The material has some stretch to it so I exchanged it for the size down. In any case, I love that this is a perfect crossover dress that can move easily from the office to dinner on the town.

Great pattern and color (blue), but the shape was...shapeless. Belt was too skinny to make much of a different and place too high. If this were more fitted, I would have kept it.

Love, love, love this dress! Wore it to work today for an important meeting in my business casual office and it felt just right (even received a compliment). The fabric is substantial and lays beautifully. The stripes are on trend but also classic and understated (I got the Cherry/Navy). Also I love what a great fit it is for my body type -- I'm 36/30/40 so I got the 8R and it was a very nice fit, smooth and flattering w/out being too snug. I did get it altered though; originally it hit mid calf but I had it taken up to at/just below the knee, then wore it with bronze flats and a brown skinny belt with bronze rivets. I usually avoid horizontal stripes, but somehow this looked just great. If it came in solids or other prints, I would buy a few more! Overall: a classic dress, an instant favorite.

I really loved this dress in the photo. I rec'd it however (red/blue stripe) and it was the frumpiest little thing. I had a 10 second look at it and put it right back in the bag for return. I am 5'10", size 8Long, 36DD. It looked like a bag. Way too long, very thick fabric. I would have used a separate belt on it vs the string but it just wasn't at all working.

I got many compliments on this dress. I love the material and fit. Great for tall girls too since it comes in long.

Wonderful dress that requires some styling to make it really work.The brown color is rich and flattering and the fabric is a thick, substantial knit. Although I'm usually a 6L in Boden dresses (5'6"; 135 lbs), the 6R was perfect in this style as additional length could've made the dress look a bit frumpy. As some reviewers have noted, the belt is placed very high--I'm very high waisted and still found the placement awkward. This is easily remedied by snipping the beltloops and repositioning the belt, or adding your own belt (which I did)and blousing the dress to get the proportions you want. That I way,I was able to fix the dress so it hit at my knees--just right for work. It's fitted, but not in a sleek, flattering way, not a tight, body-con one.

Love this dress. I feel like Joan in "Mad Men." I'm 5'10", US size 12 but ordered the 14 so I'd have a little wiggle room. It's perfect, and the fabric is weighty enough to drape well. Totally flattering despite the horizontal stripes!

The only change I would make to this dress is to have the neckline a little lower. Otherwise, I think it's fantastic. Great length and cut, sturdy fabric, flattering fit. It' super comfortable but totally acceptable for a classy work day. FYI, the fabric is fairly thick, so it's not great for a hot day. I wish this dress came in more colors or in solids. Haven't washed it yet, so we'll see how it fares, but I think it will be just fine.

After reading the reviews I was so excited to buy this dress. I love stripes. I love body conscious clothes. I was so disappointed! It was not true to size. I bought a 12L and it fit as if it were 18L. I'm 5'10" -- the dress hit my leg mid-shin. There's nothing remotely sexy about it either. It's shapeless and looks like a sac. It's going back immediately if not sooner!

ADORE this dress! Great substantial ponte fabric, but not too thick. Doesn't cling, but accentuates curves and really flatters. Looks adorable with my KS bow belt. Highly recommend. Unless you're really tall or really long-legged, the regular length is great. I'm 5'7", 31" inseam, athletic/curvy. I ordered the size 10R and it's perfect.
