Fabric is a little too "heavy" for the summery intent of the dress.

I was so excited to finally receive this dress, but when I tried it on...it fit perfectly around the bust/upper body, but it's way too big in the hips/skirt, which makes it feel really frumpy. I'm 5'10, 145 and a 6L - I might take this to my seamstress to see if she can take the skirt in because it's a really cute dress. Beware if you don't have much going on the hip region!

Also, I don't think the description makes clear that this fabric is very textured - horizontal ribs of kind of rolled ponte. Nothing bad, I was just expecting a flat texture and this looks almost ropy.

This dress fit true to size and the quality of the fabric and craftsmanship is obvious. I decided to return it because the pockets in the front added too much bulk to my hip area - and I would prefer that area be streamlined.

hard to describe why this dress went back. It fit well (aside from the bulky seam that would not lay flat on my back - this really bothered me). It was comfortable. I liked the design and the pockets. I think it was just too "cutsy" for me and I couldn't imagine myself wearing it often. For someone else, this would be a great dress.

Pleats and pockets add at LEAST 2-3 inches to your hips. This is not the dress for you if you are pear shaped.

I am a true Boden girl, especially when it comes to their dresses and tunics. They really know how to rock petite sizes. That said, I ordered this cute frock in both the green and black stripe, in my usual petite 8. The moment I pulled them from the box I knew they were too big. Slipped one on over my head without unzipping, it was official. The bulk around the middle would never shrink enough. Darn! At 5'2 and 123lbs, pet 8 has ALWAYS worked for me. I've never had to return an item due to sizing. However, this dress was so adorable, so classic and comfortable and I absolutely loved the pockets, I decided to exchange for a pet 6. Boy am I glad I did! Pair it with a sweater, your favorite denim or tailored navy short jacket and you'll be good to go. I'm excited for the weather here in Seattle to heat up so I can wear it on its own, with as many pearls as I can find! 5 stars on the reordered 6pet.

The photos doesn't do this dress justice. It has beautiful seam detailing and the fabric is not flimsy. This is a dress that can worn for almost any occasion. And I love that it hss pockets!

This is a really versatile dress. I feel like I could accessorize it to wear just about anywhere. Good quality materials, and the design has just enough cut to dress it up...but its not overly structured. Looking forward to wearing it a lot this summer!

I have 3 weekends in June...baby shower, Bat Mitzvah & wedding. Since they all are with different groups of people I got this dress! It's just perfect! I was nervous about the stripes & green color but both are fun and classic. The stitching detail is very nice. It works nice with a cardigan so that will work for the Temple and for work outfit this summer. Got it on a good sale price too! I am 5ft 9in and got my usual long size...hits just above the knee

I so almost love this dress. I just have had no luck with the waistlines this season. Boden - please go back to natural waist! Previous seasons I've wanted to keep every dress I ordered - this season I return most of them for being unflattering. This dress, like so many I have returned this season, has a high, but not quite empire, waist. So, on short curvy me it adds 10 pounds and makes me look dumpy. It's really a pity - i absolutely loved the fabric and it would have been so cute otherwise. So - my advice is that unless you are very slim, don't want/need to accentuate your waist, or are don't mind looking heavier than you are, don't buy this dress.
