This dress just didn't work for me. I am between a 2 and 4 in Boden. I ordered the size 2 based on other reviews that the top was way too loose. The top fit fine but the bottom was just to tight around my hips and bottom, leaving no room for the pockets. Very sad.

I really love this dress. It is so comfortable and cute. This was my first Boden purchase, so I wasn't completely sure about the size. I'm almost 5'9, so I ordered the 4L (mostly because they were out of the 2 and regular 4) and it fits perfectly. It falls just to the knee and lays very nicely. The pockets are great and I'm telling you, the material is so soft you could wear it all day and night! Thanks for making such a great dress!

This is my first purchase from boden and I couldn't be happier with it! I love the colors and design. It is comfortable and very cute. Appears to run true to size. I haven't worn it enough to wash yet so cannot tell how well it will hold up, but it seems well made and the material is soft and good quality.

It appears to be so hard to find a basic cotton short dress. I thought this was it, but I should have heeded the warning of other reviewers (and unfortunately I needed to pay the return fee). The style is just wrong. It is way to long on the top before the elastic cinching, so it blouses out and looks awful.
I noticed in the picture they have the model has her hand over her waist. I'm wondering if that is to hide the material hangning over that makes you look frumpy.

I bought this dress in two sizes and actually needed the smaller of the two. Because of the horizontal stripes and dress shape, I would recommend going with a smaller size if you are between two sizes. Very cute!
