I didn't give this a horrible rating because it is a great piece, just for someone else. I have MANY Boden dresses and tunics, and I just didn't love the fabric of this....seems really heavy for a summer fabric......and the fit. I am an average build with a little bit of extra in the middle, and this dress fit a little tighter around the hips so it made the tummy part stick out....just not flattering. I do love the color and even though I didn't love the fabric for summer, it does seem durable and well made. I would recommend it to a friend because every chance I get I recommend Boden, but sadly I am sending this one back.

I bought the dress in the Soft Red Hibiscus color and it is beautiful. I am tall and skinny so I had no issues with the "poofing out" of material in the belly area as others have mentioned. It poofs out a little bit, but that is part of the style, and doesn't deter me from wearing it. Certainly does not make me look pregnant! I bought this dress for some upcoming beach vacations. I have been searching for something stylish to throw on after the beach over my swimsuit that I can also wear in public to get lunch or dinner afterwards without changing. This fits the bill perfectly. I couldn't be happier. Love the lightweight cotton fabric. And thanks Boden for making this in size tall!

This item is very cute and generally fits well, except for the large armholes which I will have to have taken in. I wish it had a tad more shaping in the waist; with a large bust size, it tends to hang a bit off the chest. But in general it's very pretty and fun to wear. I have not tried washing it yet, so I don't know how it will respond to laundering.

Wasn't sure about the print nor the cut but the minute I slipped it on, I loved it. It has enough tailoring to let me feel like I'm wearing a loose tunic or shift but it's cut so it's still flattering and not like a shapeless sack. Color is perfect as well.

Great summer dress! You can wear at night or to work. Very comfortable. Fabric is durable and thick so you don't have to wear a slip underneath. I weigh 103 lbs, 5 ft 3.5 in, got the 2R, fits great. I wish it were just A LITTLE bit more fitted in the abdomen area.

I just love the look and feel of this dress and how could you not it's cotton and so breathable and wearable. I live in Florida and the summer months are so hot and humid that this fits perfectly in my wardrobe.I had ordered one awhile back and since have purchased another and I'm wearing it today to dinner. You can dress it up with a pair of sassy high shoes or just wear it with sandalls and take it to the beach.

This is a really cute dress and a great addition to a summer wardrobe. My only quibble is that it has a lot of material at the front over the stomach and, if one doesn't maintain perfect posture, this can puff out and make the wearer look a little pregnant.
