I LOVE the design, and wanted to love it on me, but what was I thinking? I'm chesty, and probably shouldn't ever think of wearing a waisted dress with a jewel collar. I put it on, and all you focus on is my chest. Guys, if you are full-chested, this is definitely NOT the dress for you. But I think it's great for everyone else. Quite lovely, in fact, and it was very comfortable when I put it on. It's just that the set waist, jewel neck, and fitted chest act together to overly emphasize an area I'd like to deemphasize. I think this would be a great dress for anyone who is flatter on top and wants to look a bit more curvy.

This dress is so comfortable and looks great, but I think the sizing is off. I'm only 5'4" but I ordered the long based on product measurements. I think it would have looked ridiculous in the regular length, but the long hit at the perfect place at the middle of my kneecap, and the waist just a touch high at the narrowest part of my torso (I'm a high waisted pear shape). So flattering, versitile, accessorizes in a variety of ways to dress up or down, and extremely comforatable. Wish it came in more colors, the price is a bit high but I know I will get a lot of wear from this 3 season dress.

This dress is different than my other Boden dresses, which is both good and bad. You have to get outside your comfort zone sometimes. I generally like the more straight and slender fits, but this dress is fitted in the torso and flares out at the hips. Since it is a heavy textured ponte, it makes the flare feel a bit bulky. I definitely needed the Long, otherwise I think the proportions are unflattering with a wide full skirt. Wear with a skinny belt and it looks more polished and less little girly.

I loved this dress and when it went on sale I decided to spring for it. The petite does run small. This dress won't work for very long waisted people. It is very flattering-with the pleats adding to that. It does also run on the shorter side. Any petite person would probably be fine ordering it in regular.

I really like this dress but it is quite heavy, so I will wear it a lot more this fall and winter than summer. It is going to be very warm. It is simple, so it has lots of possibilities with sweaters, jackets, belts, scarves, and jewelry. I like the way the pleats lay. They are in the front and back, but not on the sides so the skirt hangs beautifully and does not add bulk to your figure. Beautiful dress but wrong season. I am keeping it for fall for it is a classic.

The bulkiness of the material caused the dress to have an oddly misshapen appearance. I love my other Boden dresses so this was a big disappointment.

I really liked the classic, casual look of this dress so I ordered it in a 4P, my normal size with Boden. It fits great everywhere, but the length is just too short! It looks like a mini skirt which is not what I was going for. Also, the dress flares out quite a lot making my butt look big. I don't mind looking like I have curves, but it looks ridiculous with the short skirt (think a slightly toned down version of a tutu). I think it would drape better if it were longer. Unfortunately they are out of my size in reg/long so I will never know!

I really really wanted this to work with my figure but it just does not. I think it's something to do with the cut. I am curvier and I think it's just a bit too much for this dress. I am thinking of keeping it and taking it to a seamstress to see if some changes can be made to make it more flattering.

Also, beware it's not nearly as red red as the picture. It's more pinky/orange. It's stil beautiful though, just not for me as is! Also, it is far more fitted than my other boden dresses that are the same size. So if you're picking between two, I'd go up on the size.

I have many Boden dresses--love love the quality and the fit. I purchased the navy, which is definitely blue, not dark blue-black. The quality of this dress is typical Boden--heavy fabric, nice texture, good finishing. The skirt is on the edge of being too full for me--I feel a bit heavier in it than in, say, Boden wrap dresses. This dress is not a home run, but reasonable. I am short-waisted, which is probably why the seaming on the waistline hits me at my natural waist. I often put a skinny belt with this dress--seems to help me manage the visual of the very full skirt. If you like full-skirted dresses than this one is for you. Otherwise, probably not...
