I bought Boden's striped socks 2 or 3 years ago, and they're still good as new. I've bought plenty of other socks from OTHER places for just as much $ and I usually have to throw them out within the year because they wear through at the heel (I tend to be pretty tough on socks). But Boden socks wear GREAT, and I always get complements on how snazzy they are.
