I've been really pleased so far with Boden products and I was attracted to this straw bag because it was on trend, super cute, and would look good at the beach. However there are numerous major problems with this bag, which are the following:

• The bag cannot hold anything over 10 ounces. Anything above that causes the bag to sag and pull at the straps and the space between the straps and the zipper to fold into the bag awkwardly. So if you throw keys, cellphone, wallet, book into the bag, it's too much weight.
• The bag doesn't retain shape.
• The lime green fabric isn't sturdy enough to hold up to any weight and pulls at the seams.
• The straps are too flimsily attached to hold up to repeated us. I fear that it will eventually rip.

If they had designed it so that the interior fabric plus sturdy straps took on the weight of the bag, then straw mesh exterior would get out of shape. It would be more for decoration than for construction.

Great looking bag that fit a lot for our trip to the pool! Loved the pocket on the inside.

Haven't used this bag yet as I just received it but I am looking forward to filling it up.

This bag was just too large for my small frame. Cute style, but just not for me.

This is a cute straw bag. It is a bit long but I got lots of compliments while I used it. However, there is a major design flaw with the inner lining.
First off, the straps are on a weird area, so as you use it, the top 1/4 of the straw bag will get a weird looking fold. Second, the inner lining is very loose, so sometimes it gets caught in the zipper. Today, it got caught again so I was gently trying to tug it to undo it. Finally, the part you hold to use the zipper completely broke off. Poor quality, bad design. I guess it would be an okay item to use for just one summer if you can get it on sale. However, mine broke after 2 months of use. For $50+, I expected better from Boden.

This bag is big enough to take a day's outing worth of supplies to the pool or beach and small enough to use while puttering around town. I haven't tried it out as a carry-on bag yet but plan to later in the season. I feel sure it will hold all the essentials while the bright turquoise lining will help me put my hands on whatever I might be searching for. I really appreciate the zipper pocket but agree with another reviewer - it would be nice to have a key fob.

This is a nice bag. I bought it in navy. Unfortunately I had to returm it. It's just too big for me. I am only 5'1".

I bought this bag for my next beach vacation and it is large enough to hold all of my beach essentials. I am also using it as a shopping bag. I love this bag.
