My husband and I took the plunge and allowed our 13 year old to wear a bikini. I could not be happier with the fit of the bandeau top and these boy shorts! My daughter wanted to try both style bottoms. She opted for the very cute and stylish boy shorts. They are ADORABLE! She is tall and thin and couldn't look any cuter or more appropriate in her suit. It covers, is flattering, nicely lined, cute prints--we LOVE her choice and so glad Boden did not disappoint in the swimsuit dept. I was extrememly pleased with the cut and quality--I am a big fan anyway :)

Bought these in a 15/16 (polka dot) for my slender (but shapely) 5' 4" 15 year-old. They fit beautifully and comfortably and she loves them. She tends to be very modest, but also very active, so she likes how they fit. With the coordinating top, there is no midriff showing which means it's even acceptable for camp. Like the top, the color is more violet--it looked navy online to me.

VERY cute suit with a vintage look and more coverage without looking like your puritan grandma picked it out. We ordered the boy shorts and tankini top in the lovebird pattern which manages to be fun and sophisticated looking at the same time. My almost 12-year-old is average-sized and thin but has muscles from sports, so we sized up to 13/14, which is perfect with a little room to grow.

I bought this suit for my 13 yr old... She felt uncomfortable ( as did i!!) with all the bikini bottoms available at the typical mall stores. The boy shorts give enough coverage while still being a bikini. The top & bottoms are nice and well made and sturdy...yet still quite cute and fashionable
