My 5 year old daughter usually refuses to wear shorts (or pants) but she loves these. I got her them in Jade. The color is fun and the stripes at the top give it a cute retro feel. Great for lounging and playing.

My 8 year old and I love these comfy shorts! We got the grey to wear for tennis lessons and to go with lots of tops. They run a bit small... the 9 fits my tall, slim girl with room to grow.

I usually have to size down for my tall and skinny 8-yr. old (52" tall & 22" waist) but for these shorts, the size 8 is a perfect fit without having to tighten the drawstring. (We actually ordered both sizes 7 and 8 and there wasn't too much of a difference.) For the price, I wish there were pockets or more details other than the cute waistband, which is covered most of the time, but it's a good length and very comfortable for both sports and general use.

My daughter wears her shorts to school or just to go out to play in the park. Because it's so easy for her to put on herself, getting out the door for school is a little bit easier. There's no more cry for help. She picks out this pair as soon as it's clean from the laundry.

I ordered the blue and white stripe shorts. They are nice, but I returned them knowing the thick white stripe on the back side would soon be a dirty grey. The solid colors wouldn't have that problem but they seemed a little blah for the price of the shorts.

My daughter loves these shorts every year, love the dark navy color that was added this year. We also liked the gray, wish it was offered in a stripe also. Cute stripped waist on the solid colors! Overall great staple in our summer wardrobe.

Great play short! Probably should have sized up a size. They area little short and not baggy like picture. But they are great for play. We got the grey ones so they match everything.

We love these shorts, I ordered the same style over 2 years ago and from constant wear and tear, tiny holes have only just started to appear at the pockets, but let me say, we live in California so we live in shorts and they must be in the washer 3-4 times a week. My daughter adores these so much I know she will not be happy to see me dispose of them so they will 'disappear' from her closet for a while...thank goodness we have the gorgeous green, red and white stripe, and grey to distract her. She's a tiny girl so I know the pairs I bought this year will last 2 years, no problem.
