My daughter is two and half but she is the size of a four year old. With that in mind the size fours were a bit tight while the fives fit rather well if not a little long. That's no matter because I can roll them up on hotter days and the pants are so well constructed that I may be able to get them to last for two seasons. My little girl loves the polk dot pattern and I love the ditsy flower motif. Both washed beautifully. If in doubt order a size larger. The only thing I would change on these it to make the draw string on the waist a touch longer to simplify tying a bow.

I LOVE these baggies! They are so comfortable and perfect for play - my daughter loves them. Glad they mentioned sizing because I ordered up to a size 7 for my almost 5 year old. Size 6 would never have worked. Great pants that are even cuter in person!

For reference, I bought a size 3 for my daughter who is 29 pounds, 38 inches tall, with a 19.5 inch waist. These pants fit perfectly, probably thanks to the adjustable waistband. Great quality and will hold up well to summer adventures.

These baggies are stylish and very cute on my 6 year old. My daughter and I both love the print with the buckets. As always, I buy my Boden pieces a little larger so that I can get extended wear out of them. The next size up isn't super big on her but she will get through the summer and start the new school year in these.

I absolutely love these pants. Boden has offered this similar style pant since my daughter was a toddler and I have loved every pair. I do find that the front crotch on Boden pants runs short and I have to order the next size up. However, she wears her Boden clothing often and it launders extremely well. You can't beat the durability as they have stood up well to my daughter playing in them.
