The 5-6 wouldn't have given my 6 year old any room to grow. However, the 7-8 had sleeves that were about 4-5 inches too long in length. It was a cute sweater but had to return because of the fit.

This is a stunning little cardigan that is very versitile. My daughter can wear her over a t-shirt or a dress and I am planning to have her wear it over her flower girl dress she is wearing this summer. It is on the smaller side for boden clothing (especially if you want it buttoned)but the knit is quite stretchy. My daughter would wear it every day if I let her.

I love this sweater. It is a classically beautiful, stylish sweater and my daughter loves the subtle sparkles. We received the yellow which is s a lovely pale maize that goes with a lot. I loved it so much i just bought the china blue. My daughter is just a little slimmer than average and her size fits perfectly though the sleeves are a bit long.

I purchased this cardigan for my 5 year old niece. The English Rose(PPK) color is pretty much same as the detail image is shown.
I like the material but I guess this cardigan is designed that you don't button up unless you get a bigger size. That's why I gave 4 stars.
It seems tight and small but when you wear it, it is strethable widthwise.
Overall this is another nice product as usual.

Try this one on! When I took the sweater out of the package I was sure it would be too small because it looks like a boxy sweater in the photo. But it fit my daughter perfectly because it turns out it is a form fitting type of sweater. And it holds its shape beautifully. Wish I had one like this for myself! The sparkles are quite subtle so this sweater could be worn dressy or casual. BTW, my daughter is an average sized 9 year old, about 72 pounds and we ordered the 9-10.
