When my daughter tried this on, my husband thought she had on a nightgown. That was my first clue that it looked a little like my grandmother's housecoat. It just doesn't have any kind of shape, and the arm hold are very large. The material is very thick and my daughter didn't like that. The smocking is cute, though.

This is a nice addition to our warm weather wardrobe. The print is vibrant and fresh. I also bought the jersey crop in the same print so I can match my 2 girls. The fabric is a little stiff, though, not as I had thought. Still comfy, but I wonder is jersey material might have been cooler if very hot weather.

I love the pattern on this dress (I bought the blue background floral print) and the fabric is definately made to withstand heavy play. I took away one star because even though it is durable the fabric is a little too thick for my taste since I live in a perpetually sunny warm climate. It's still a well designed beautiful dress and would be especially suited to areas with a bit of chill or rain.

My daughter is of an age where she is rebelling anything pink and girly. The blue dress with the pink stitching is perfect as she likes it without realising how feminine she looks in it! Empire line smocking is perfectly tailoured. A tad short (inch above the knee) but she is tall for her age.
