This is the 2nd velvet trim hoodie I have bought from Boden (I bought a pewter color 1-2 years ago) & they are a wardrobe staple for a cold-weather winter. The sherpa lining & velvet trim are luxurious touches that take this to a level well above a typical hoodie. The navy color is a shade that works with all my other navy tops for layering. This hoodie is extremely soft & cozy but also very durable & practical. My only complaint is that other reviewers suggested ordering a size up (which I did) & the hoodie is a little looser than I prefer. I may throw it in the dryer after washing to try to shrink it a bit.

I was torn on what size to get and went with most reviewers and sized up one size. It has a very comfortable, roomy fit, but I think my usual size would have fit just fine too. There's actually a tiny draft coming up from the bottom when I sized up. It's quite long (hip length on my 5' frame) which I think is actually more flattering than a shorter hoody, especially given the slight amount of additional bulk. Also, the blue polka dotted version is pretty subtle - not as patterned as you might think because both colors are a bit muted.

I love this hoody. The velvet trim makes it more than just a regular hoody! It is very comfortable. I ordered a size up so I can wear a long sleeve under it, and it works perfectly! I ordered the solid blue and love the color, since it is not a very deep dark blue. Too bad I am 46 years old, if not I would have loved to have ordered the red and gray poke doted one as well ;) thank you Boden!

My first Boden hoodie but not my last!! I bought the navy and sized up from a 4 (a Boden size 4 usually fits perfect to a tad large on me, but 2's are too small) to 6. It is perfect. I'm 5'4'' and 110 lbs, slim, 34B. It fits very comfortably with room for a sweater underneath. If I wanted a more fitted look to wear over a tee, I think a 4 would have been fine too. I think going 2 sizes up would have been too much as the sleeves already go past my wrist by about an inch by just going one size up (you can always fold it back though). I was reluctant to order at first as only the navy was left in my size and I felt it might be too boring, but it is beautiful. The inside is so soft and the beige lining and velvet trim is very pretty, so it doesn't feel like just another navy jacket hoodie. I know I will get a lot of wear out of it, and can jazz it up a little by wearing a scarf or hat. I have always wanted a soft, comfy hoodie like the ones my teen wears from abercrobie or aero, but when I wore those brands, I felt it looked too young on me. I'm 45 (but look about late 30's :)) and this looks very appropriate, not too old or too young. Will definitely buy more in the future!

I like this hoody so much, I exchanged it three times to get the proper fit. (I purchased the blue dots.) The problem was mostly that the sleeves are so fitted/tight that I could barely get them over even a simple, long-sleeved t-shirt. I think I started with a size 6 and ended with a size 12. It was worth it, though, because I wear this a LOT. AND I got another one in red (and it is a nice shade of red.)

I love the feel of this jacket both inside and out, but was disappointed that it was so closely fitting. I got a size 8, which is my size for jackets & outerwear, but like them to fit a bit loosely & to have the option of layering. It fits as a size 6 would have and I do wish that I had ordered a size 10 instead. So if you like your sweat shirts a little big, definitely order this at least one size up. It makes me nervous that it may shrink in the wash. I was ready to return it for exchange, but when I noticed that they were out of stock, decided to keep it to wear in the Spring. It would be great on cooler nights at the beach or for bike riding in Autumnal weather. Love the look too much to return it!

I really like this hoody but I did size up as others suggested, I'm really glad I did. I normally wear a size 4 but I ordered a size 6. Even so, I also found the sleeves quite snug, I can wear this over a thin top but not over a sweater. I was hoping I could just throw this on over anything but I'm keeping it as I love the polka dots, sherpa lining and velvet trim.

I have 2 of these hoodys and 3 polka dot sweatshirt pullovers and 1 flowered zip up. I wear them all the time. They wash well, hold their fit and color. I always get compliments when i wear them.
