This is very warm and well-made. My objection has only to do with sizing. I usually wear either a 4 or 6 in Boden tops and jackets. I ordered the 6 in this one and must exchange for an 8. It is cotton, so may loosen up with repeated wear, but for now, it feels very tight. For reference, I am 5'4", 115lbs, and thin through the torso.

I really wanted this coat to fit but I ordered a size up and it was still very snug. It was just not very flattering on. Another size up would not have worked; the cut was just not flattering on my body type, especially when buttoned up.

I am a mother of two and a casual dresser. I bought this in the navy color and found it to be even better in person - a deep indigo. It is a bit more fitted than most traditional sweatshirts, and a lot more stylish. Love the velvety trim and the dark fleecy material inside. Also has cute buttons. Perfect under a vest (what you call a gillet). I didn't care for the creamy inside of the orange and bay leaf options.
