This shirt is a great splash of color in comparison to my more drab work clothes. Is great paired with a sweater but a little bold for me to just wear by itself. Maybe in time though!
As far as fit goes, I got a size 8 and it fits really well, especially in the chest area which I sometimes have a hard time finding with button down shirts.
Overall, a fun shirt that's nice to have in the wardrobe!

I have been ordering Boden approx two years. Two seasons ago, my daughter ordered me a coat that is a one-of-a-kind and I LOVE it and so does everyone else! I purchased my 1st Essential Shirt this past Fall in a size 8 because Boden was out of 10 and I loved the blouse so much I thought maybe an 8 would fit. I am in my early 60's, and love to wear stylish clothes. The size 8 was a little tight but I kept it anyway. I just ordered the green flowered Essential shirt in a 12 because Boden was out of 10...I thought maybe the shoulders would be ok - too big for me. I do like this blouse - it's simple in design, yet so classy and fun to wear. I will definitely order again before they run out of size 10!

I ordered the blue dot essential shirt to go with the prussian blue boyfriend cardigan. I love each one separately, but they are perfect together. The essential shirt fits tts. I'm a US size 10, hourglass-shaped and tall. I like that the essential shirt is not too tight around the chest, yet not boxy, and that the sleeves are long enough for me. Although I bought this to go with the boyfriend cardigan, it's so versatile I can see myself wearing it with a lot of different things. I would definitely recommend it.
