It just wasn't the right shape for me. The waist was too big, making the whole skirt sag, although the hip was fine. Perhaps if there was more of a waist band it would have looked better. Love the Moon mill wools. But I sent it back.

I have a couple other tweed skirts from Boden that I bought over the years that are starting to feel a bit short as I get older. I am SOOOO HAPPY they made a skirt that hits my knee. I bought a 12, which was far too large, but the fabric was lovely so I've exchanged it for a smaller size. The "slate melange" is darker than I thought it would be (it looks more black than grey in person).

The charcoal melange pencil is a nice thinnish (but quality) tweed, so that there is no bulkiness, but it has a nice feel to it. As an hourglass, I like the absence of pockets, since pockets add bulk where it is least welcome. Fully lined in interesting purple with a grosgain ribbon in a contrasting purple hue at the top inside waist - nice detail. I am otherwise a reliable size 8 in Boden, but had to exchange for a 10 for this skirt. Your mileage may vary depending on body shape. It slid right into my wardrobe ready to mix and match with everything for years to come.
