I am surprised by some of the negative comments for this skirt. I bought both the purple and white colors and love them. The fit is a bit more slim than other skirts perhaps, but I bought my typical Boden 4 and it fits fine. I would agree that a particularly curvy figure might have trouble with the skirt, but for someone who has a straighter figure, it's fantastic. Do note that the skirt is what I would consider straight. I don't think that the side view photo with the knee bent and the skirt wider at the bottom is accurate at all. I'm not even sure how they managed that in the photo; the skirt is pretty much straight, which I was glad about. The skirt can be dressed up with a nice blouse and heels, but my favorite way to wear it is with a great fitting top or t-shirt and cute flip-flop sandals. It gives you a very pulled together look without making it seem that you tried too hard, which works for all kinds of occasions. The skirt is medium-weight, which gives it some structure without being too stiff or heavy. By the way, I think the purple color is much nicer in person than on the standard skirt-shot photo (the one with the bottom of the printed top shown). The real color is more like the photo of the actual model, a bit deeper and richer.

I bought the mint color and it's absolutely dreamy! The broderie is beautiful, and the very slight A-line shape is flattering. I wear this skirt with a white tee for weekends and with a white linen blouse for work. This skirt is true to my Boden size (which for me is one size up from other brands).

this skirt is not made for a woman with any curves at all. the material was more structured and stiff than it looked in the pictures and did not flow at all which made it unforgiving. tight in the hips, waist was fine, length was fine.

Whereas the fabric is beautiful, the skirt is 4 inches too big in my waist. I ordered my usual size - and the size that fits the Boden sizing chart - but it's made for an elephant. I will be returning this skirt. I don't know if I will try to reorder in a smaller size.
