This skirt is amazing! The fit is perfect, and I love the detail on the hem. I had a good laugh over the people who where surprised that linen tends to be a bit "see-through" (who doesn't know that). Some comments talk about wearing a slip with the skirt. I'm 40 and have not owned a slip since I was a little girl. Seriously people... RELAX and enjoy a beautiful well made LINEN skirt. Its summertime, don't stress about little things! I wear mine with a casual tee or tank. I currently own the french blue, and will be purchasing the two more colors since they are such a good deal. Yeah Boden!

I had being searched from Internet to find skirts I need with not much luck. A month ago, clicking the link of BodenUSA[@] brought me here to buy 3 skirts of this same style which I can wear many years to come and needless to do hard working searching anymore. This is the first time that I visit BodenUSA, and got what I am looking for.This skirt looks great on me. In fact, it makes me look younger than I expect at age of 64. Nice color, nice shape, hits just the right length, easy to match my top, shirts and vest or so. Most of my skirts tend to be the same style like Lindisfarne. They are my favor. Why not buy more when BodenUSA offers the very comfortable sale prices. Of course, Free shipping too. Save me money and Be very "PRETTY"! All the linen fabric appear to be disadvantage of being seen through, more or less. I purchased a 20" vanity Fair thin and light weight slip going under the skirt, PERFECT, no complain at all. I got two French blue, one Lavender color and Love them all. Truly appreciate this beautiful piece of design and quality workmanships. I'm 5'9" and 138 lbs. The 6L fits perfectly and hangs right below my knees. I love how the waist and hips are kind of fitted and then the skirts flares gently to give a very flattering fit. The blue color is lovely. I have worn this day in and day out during this hot spell. Because it's a dark color I don't need a slip and the absence of a lining is actually a good thing. I can't believe the deal during the sale. As often happens when my Boden things arrive, I realize this was worth the full price!

I am in love with the skirt. I purchased it in lavender. The color is soft, and perfect for spring/summer. It washes well, although wrinkles a bit while wearing (as linen is prone to do). It fits true to size. I have an hourglass shape, it the swishiness of the skirt is very flattering. My only complaint is that it is a bit sheer (as others have said), and so I do wear a thin slip with it so that it can pass the standing-in-direct-sunlight test. Despite that one downside, I have found myself reaching for this pretty and versatile skirt over and over again this summer.

I am a pear shaped person, so I adore a-line skirts. This skirt is flattering on my 5'-6" frame, and hits just at the knee. The skirt is a nice light weight, and fully lined, but I wear a short slip under it anyway, because I felt it still had some show-through. It seems nicely made, with a zipper on the side and a hook-and-eye to keep it zipped. Am very happy with this cute skirt.

Love the lightweight fabric of this skirt, but the hips were sized wide - I could pinch a 1/2 inch or so on either side and I have wider hips. A smaller size wouldn't have worked because the waist was fine. In addition, the fact that the pleats end right at the hips, makes the skirt puff out at a bad spot for anyone with wider hips. Might be great for someone with slimmer hips, but not for me.

I'm happy Boden has this style of skirt! Some swishy/fullness is a nice treat. I would say its very well made and I look forward to wearing it all summer.
My only slight concern was even with the blue if the sun is shining through the skirt if it needs a slip/lining. Jury is out on this one.
I'm on the upper measurements of the a size 8 but this skirt fits totally comfortable with room to breath. I'm definitely going to order the Gypsy Rose skirt now too.
