This skirt is so versitile and flattering. I am not usually a skirt person because I'm tall (5'11") and pear shaped, so a lot of them are too short or too tight. However, this one is great because it has a very good shape and pockets - that's right, cute and practical pockets! You can either tuck a skirt in or out, and it would even be cute with a blazer. I ordered a 14, my normal size, and it fit perfectly.

Beautiful fabric but unfortunate shape. Looser fabric on the belly adds volume. I tried it on (had twins several months back) and it looked terrible. My very thin mother tried it on and it gave her a belly that she doesn't have. Not sure who this would flatter...except for the model. Perhaps a reason why they didn't shoot the side angle from the other side where you see the extra fabric? Sorry, Boden.

This skirt is truly lovely, and although it is best suited for evening or special occasions, I wore it to work with a trendy black blazer and turtleneck and funky pumps. People literally stopped me in the hall to comment on how beautiful the skirt is. I normally buy Boden tall sizes (I am 5'11") and wear a US 10. This skirt comes right to the mid-knee on me. The scalloped edge comes just below the lining and looks pretty. One drawback, if you wear tights or nylons you may need to wear a slip because the lining fabric in the skirt did not glide and so the skirt bunched when I walked. With a slip it worked just fine. Another thing to note, there is absolutely no stretch in this skirt. The size ten is generous though--I wouldn't recommend ordering up to get a looser fit. Finally, the color is unusual and lovely but a little hard to match. I wore it with black and it looked great.

I LOVE this skirt! The color is sparkly and dressy without being over the top. The asymmetrical gathering at the waist and the lace that hangs past the lining at the bottom give an already beatiful skirt that extra something.
Cut is very flattering - makes me look long and lean. Fit is a little smaller in the waist than some other Boden skirts I have, and it is body-conscious without being tight. I am 35" 26" 37" and the size 4 fit perfectly.
Pockets are an extra bonus - not sure I will use them but may be nice to throw my lipstick in a pocket,or a coat check ticket. they do not puff out or anything, so nice to have.
