I am only 5' 2" with a really short wasit. The skirt is designed for someone with a long waist. There is this weird shape to the top part that you can't see on the model because her shirt is covering it. The waist material was way to long which caused the entire skirt to fall weird on my body.

I always wear a Boden 6, although on occasion they are a bit tight in the top. This skirt was extremely large in both the hips and waist. A 4L would fit me perfect, but it is sold out in the blue and white striped. I will definitely re-order, if the 4L comes back in. The skirt is really cute.

This is a nice skirt. The fit is a little awkward because I am short-waisted and this fits more snugly at the hips than expected, leaving the waist more loosely-fitting. I am going to wear it anyway with shirt-tail not tucked in. Ordered a 4R and I usually wear a 6P. Wish there had been a petite option in this for sure. Nice fabric - I ordered the stripe.
