I almost didn't order these boots due to the feedback that they were difficult to get on/off and snug fitting. I have very wide feet and average calves. I had absolutely NO problem putting them on the first time. They require more work than average to get off, but it is more like a little extra wiggle and off they pop. I am so happy I decided to try them myself. The heels are not color shown though (and this was also in the reviews) - they are significantly darker. They still look great though!

Absolutely love these boots and highly recommend them! Very comfortable to wear even with the heel and I've gotten countless compliments on them. I would buy a pair in black if they had them. My calfs don't fit every boot but these slid on well. I like the pull on design. I find them easy to get on and off. For reference, I am 5'4".

This are great boots. I always order alittle larger than my foot size; then put a foot pad in the boot; which make the boot super comfortable. No zipper which is great; means no snaging your pantyhose. I got the lighter boot; loved them so much I also ordered the dark brown.

I love love love these boots, BUT they are nearly impossible to get off as there is no zipper. Ironically, the lack of zipper is one reason why I love the look of them so much. They really are a beautiful boot and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. The leather is very high quality.

I was really excited when these boots went on sale. They are exactly what I was looking for. I was excited when they came. Beautiful and well constructed. They problem is that they don't have a side zip. It was really really hard to get them on. Once on I couldn't get them off! I had to have my husband help and even then it was hard. I had to send them back.

As noted, no zipper. I wear a 36 or 37 - got these in a 37 which is maybe just a bit big, but unlike others, I haven't had any trouble getting them on or off. I've got skinny calves and these wind up being a little big at the top, but not comically so. Still some gussetting might help. Even with that, they are really beautiful and beautifully made with a very walkable heel and decent winter tread.

Boots are very well made. I ordered the dark brown boots. The heel is the same color as the boot. In the picture, it looks like a light brown which is what I wanted. As a previous person said, I also purchased because I loved the contrast between the boot and heel. They are the same color. I have smaller calves and the boot is definitely bigger on me. I love the tread on the bottom! No slip!

Orded the Dark Brown boots in a 40. The brown was the same color as the heel, which was a disappointment, because I ordered the darker color for the contrast. The actual color was just like the lighter brown. Normally in shoe size I am between a 39 and a 40, so this was a guess about where I would fit in with Boden shoes. The 40 was much too large, will definitely be remembering I'm a 39 in the future. The calf size was humungous. Granted, I have tiny calves, its a curse, but these were huuuge. But, once you were used to them, I'm sure that wouldn't be so bad, or if you have normal to muscular calves it would be great for you.
The leather is firm, but not hard, so they will probably age very nicely with tender care. Also, the color is a nice brown. And they were comfortable to put on, so in the right size, they would probably be great for wearing all day.

I've been looking for a pair of high quality boots I can dress up or down, without compromising comfort! They are darling with any skirt... or snug jeans. I have 3 boys so I have to be able to move quickly! I was skeptical of the 3 inch heel, but they far surpassed my expectations! LOVE these boots! So adorable & so comfortable! I'm 5'4, and wear a size 7.5 shoe. The size 38 is PERFECT! Absolutely best purchase of the year :-) Thanks Boden!
