I read some of the reviews and description but somehow missed the fact that these boots are pull on (no zipper). This construct made the boots more slouchy then I expected. Also, the heel is so narrow I could not wear these boots walking through the rutty city streets to and from work; so I only wear these for evenings which is not why I purchased them.

The boots look fabulous and dressy. Look great with work outfits. However, the design of the wedge and heel feels exactly as if you were wearing 3" heels.
The boots are not very stable. The back part of the heel less then an inch across making it like walking on high heels. I found it very difficult to walk several city blocks, but looked great once sitting down in the office.

I would recommend only for dress but not practical use

I bought these boots on sale; in the photo, they looked like a deep brown - and the color was fig. Fig? What color is that? In any event, when they arrived they were deep purple. (Is that fig? My figs are really neither brown nor purple!). I was hesitant about them -- what matches purple? Answer: everything! Everytime I wear them, I get compliments --even from strangers! And they are comfortable! I am on my feet for 8-10 hours at work, without a whimper. They are a tad tricky to get off -- an obliging spouse is a great help, but, oh, so worth it! Lovely with dresses, but I will be wearing them with jeans as well.

I LOVE this boot! I have a small foot (5.5 US or 36 European) and a small frame but suffer from "muscular" or "athletic" calves. Most size 5.5 boots don't fit me because the calf shaft is too narrow - especially boots with zipper shafts. This boot has a WORKING BUCKLE with multiple notches that actually adjust the size of the shaft! I am able to widen the buckle to get the boot over the widest part of my calf, tighten it down a notch once it's one my foot, and the boot looks great.

These boots are comfortable and so pretty. The very first time I wore them I got immediate compliments from a stranger at the coffee shop. I love the unique color and I believe I can get several seasons of use out of them.

I checked bad design only becuase the bottom sole of shoe should have non-slip toe . I have taken my 2 pairs to shoe repair to have this done. I am an experianced heel wearer however the slightly tapered heel with that little rubber nub makes me uneasy if I was walking on wet ground.

I wasn't sure about these when I ordered them, but after trying them on, I loe them! My only worry is how the suede will hold up in the snowy winter. They're stylish, comfortable, and look to be well made.

I just received these fabulous boots and had to try them on the moment I opened the box. I had been so looking forward to receiving them, and they didn't disappoint! They're so cute and comfortable, and I know I'll wear them all fall and winter, weather permitting (I don't think the suede will stand up well to rain), around town during the day and out and about in the evening. The buckle on the shank is functional, I was happy to see, and I was able to tighten it down all the way for a more snug fit around my calf. The footbeds are divinely comfortable, and the wedge gives some height without sacrificing stability and mobility. Love, love these boots!!
