I was so excited to get this dress that I bought it in two colors. I was so disappointed when I received it. The sleeves are slightly puffy and the fit was all wrong. Not as pictured in the catalog.

I loved this dress in the photo, but was really disappointed when it arrived. The fabric was not what I expected – it's that shiny and slinky polyester material that feels like it gets snagged very easily on my dry winter hands. I typically wear an 8 in a Boden dress, so that's what I ordered, but the elastic band underneath the bust line was too big. I'm a big Boden fan, but this didn't work for me.

I could not wait for this dress but I was super disappointed. The gathering below the bust is very strange and makes it look like a maternity dress. I love the color/pattern; loved the sleeves and fit on top but the waist was so strange I knew I would feel odd wearing it around. Perhaps if I had a larger chest that hid the gathered material better?

This dress is very pretty and flattering - looks better in real life than in this picture (I think). Only issue is that the neck is a little low for some of my bras (I'm currently breastfeeding...) but with the right underwear, it looks lovely.
I also wonder whether the fabric will stand up to wear, as it looks a little delicate. We shall see...

I just received this dress as a gift and absolutely love it. I think that it does run a little big - I received my standard 6L and thought about exchanging it for a 4 so that it fit more like the model's in the picture with the bust line higher - but decided that it was so comfortable and flattering that I didn't want to risk throwing that off. The neckline is not too low and the substantial lining adds to the warmth for fall/winter. I received the turquoise/gray and the colors are unusual and gorgeous. A different palate from much of my other Boden clothes but fun and fresh!
