I got the purple in an 8L, because my preferred 10R was gone in this clearance selection. The arms and upper body were a bit tight, but I can still make it work. The sale price was too good to pass up.

I like the thick jersey fabric, comfortable and can be worn without a slip. I'd wear this mostly to the office year round, but can also dress it up for special occassions.

Only giving 4 stars because I was expecting to receive a lilac/lavender or some light purple color, as per the image online. However, what I received was a dark grape version. Still not a bad color, otherwise I would have returned if really not satisfied.

Also, the pockets did not bother me, or did not stick out as some reviewers have mentioned. I was a bit wary about this since I do have a bit of a tummy pooch. But fortunately, the pockets lay flat, and the overall fit is flattering. Happy with this Roma dress.

I bought the blue for work and loved it so much I bought the yellow. I was late to appreciate the ponte items, but find them very practical and flat erring.

I have a hard time finding dresses that fit, so I couldn't have been happier when I slipped this one on. I'm a little over 5'3" and weigh 138lbs, with more tummy than I'd like and fairly hippy. I ordered a 8R, and it fit perfectly! It hits right at my knees, and the cut is very complimentary. The thicker fabric prevents panty lines, and it's not too tight across my middle or my hips, which I love. Boden, thank you for making a dress for us older mommies who still want to look stylish!

After reading reviews that the dress runs large (I'm an 8-10P depending on maker), I took a chance on the 6R, since the 6P was all sold out in the color I wanted (turmeric). Turmeric color is (as mentioned by others) like a yellow green or chartreuse.

Nicely form fitting but without being too snug/tight or clingy, nice shaping and I can easily wear a long sleeve Tee underneath during winter. Hit right above the knee on me (5'2"). I have a straight mid-section, so I love that it helped define my waist a little more and hid the muffin top nicely!

Left pocket flap was sewn to lay flat against the dress but oddly, the right was not. :( I do agree with others that the pocket itself bunches & creates an unflattering lumpy effect in the tummy area; I plan to cut it off and sew the flaps shut, which should alleviate that problem.

Other than those two issues, the dress is well-made & I look forward to wearing it solo with sandals in the spring, and then in the fall/winter seasons with tights, boots and a long-sleeve tee underneath. Comfortable yet a nice hip/modern style that looks great for every day. I'm a 50 yr. old grandma who likes to look chic, not dowdy and this dress is perfect!

Really like this dress! I got it in the tumeric color - which ended up being a little more chartreuse than yellow. The fabric is thick and perfect for early spring. This dress is great for work - love it!

This wasn't the right fit for me in the backside. It was too loose for some reason, and tighter in the shoulders. I tried the 12, and a 10 may have been better, but Boden was sold out.

I thought I would return this dress, becuase the color doesn't seem right to my skin color. However, this dress is super comfortable so I can not give it up for that reason:). I'm working, sitting all the day, so the dress should be comfortable.
Besides, the color is rare and that is plus.
I got lots of compliments on the day I wore it. People like this dress more than I do.
I'm 5' 100lb. and 2p is the right size for me.

I am 5'6" and 130lb and size 4R was very large on me. It was also very boxy. Material was nice though. Maybe if you are apple shape, it would work much better, but otherwise it's not flattering.
