This dress is perfect. In its simplicity, it is very elegant, but can be worn for many different kinds of occasions, from weddings to work or shopping. As soon as I took this dress out of the box, I knew I was going to love it. It's the nicest dress I've ever gotten from Boden. Beautiful fabric, nice draping, great design. I will probably wear it mostly for good, I am 5'8" and got the size 8. Several reviewers mentioned it looked good with red hair. I have dark hair and pale skin and it looks great. I am 5'4" tall, 34DD and usually wear a size 12. I ordered a 10, because the Boden size 12 fits more like a size 14. This dress was a little snug across the chest and a little short waisted, but fit very well in the skirt. I loved the way the skirt draped, as well as the length. However, because of the poor fit on top, I decided to return it. The color is unusual, and would be very becoming if you are pale and have blond or red hair.
