Great dress - definitely needs the belt because it doesn't have much shape without it, but a fun way to wear a fun pattern without being too flashy. Fits true to size - I got a size 4 which is my normal Boden size. I'm 5'5", 125 lbs.

Something about this dress isn't quite right. I think it is the cut and the belt. The cut reminds me of a relaxed-fit t-shirt dress. The shape is not pretty or feminine. The belt is thin and slippery so it is quite useless. If you tie it loosely like the model, it will fall off as there is no loop on the dress to hold it. If you tie it more tightly, it will bunch up the design. You can wear the dress without the belt but it lacks definition. Boden has many other cute dresses; this is not a keeper. 5'4", 125lbs. 4R was the right fit.

I paired this with a thick black leather belt and a blue cardigan and this looks cute. The thin belt that this came with does nothing for the dress. The print is interesting and fun.

I was surprised to see poor reviews on this dress. The dress is extremely flattering in person, and fits true to size. The colors are vivid and very beautiful. The fabric is not at all thin, and although you may be able to find a similar style at a major department store, you wouldn't find this quality for less. If you have a slim figure, this dress is a must have!

I am pleased that I sized down because this self-belting dress could have lost its edge if baggy above the belting. The color design is eye catching and I think flattering on my round shape, but is not clingy or restricting.

I am a 38D and I don't care to show too much upper arm so this dress is perfect. It will take some ironing but hangs in a stylish, not sloppy way.

I ordered this dress as it would be perfect to wear to my company holiday party, but sadly I have sent it back.

The print is spectacular, absolutely gorgeous. But while the sizing was true to size, it is too boxy without the sash. But using the sash to cinch it a bit cuts across the pattern.

I was sorely tempted to bring it to a tailor to take it in at the sides, maybe if it goes on sale I will rebuy it and get it tailored.

So curvy gals - give it a try, but it might not work for you.

I always wanted a Pucci paisley dress but never dared to buy one, so I liked that the paisley here was just over half the fabric and not too overwhelming. The dress is classic and elegant and feels very soft, almost warm, to the touch. I liked the contrast of the blue and black.

However, the fit was somewhat boxy. Im a size 8 so somewhere in the middle of the size range and it seems to make me look "cube shaped". I think it would be best if you are tall and skinny.

However, I really do like the pattern and the fabric so will keep it. Hopefully I will look more gazelle like if I match it with high heels.

I ordered this dress because I loved the colors in the "Thunder" Paisley Print dress, but it just arrived and I cannot for the life of me figure out how they managed to get the colors in the photo so wrong. The dress in front of me has a blue and orange design on it, not the soft mauve and lavender/purple shown on the website. At first I thought I mis-ordered the Black Paisley instead of the Thunder Paisley, but the photo for that dress doesn't match what I have in front of me either.

I excitedly ordered this in the "black paisley" in my usual size 4 (sometimes I am a boden size 6, but the 4 fit well). I was soooo disappointed. First of all, the fabric is very very thin and felt very cheap, almost thin plastic-like. Surprisingly, the entire paisley pattern is actually printed/stamped on the fabric - it is not embroidered! Thus, the entire dress had a discount-store look and feel at an exorbitant price. The fit was fine, the dress shaping was "fine," and the belt tie was fine ... but the pattern seemed awkwardly cut off by the belt (just like on the model, but I was hoping it would be different in person). Also, something about the pattern blossoming over the hip area didn't do my curvy figure any favors.

Overall, I am shocked at the high pricing and poor quality of this dress, coming from Boden. (I also ordered the purple vertical-stripe colorblock dress which I LOVED, a definite keeper from the new collection). I have a feeling these paisley dresses will end up in boden's clearance section soon, with prices slashed. Even then, I still wouldn't recommend buying it, even if it were almost free. :-(
