I just received this lovely dress in blue (purple), and was impressed by the superb craftsmanship. However, I will need to return it and order up one size. I can easily zip it, but it's just slightly too snug across the bustline for me to wear it with confidence. I will order a 4, and can see that it will end up being black, but that's fine. Black would be a wonderful color in this particular style.
I can see myself wearing it to a variety of dressy functions for years to come...it's that sort of wardrobe addition. Perfect for dinners of all kinds, weddings and formal occasions.
Again, I want to stress the high quality of construction in this garment. It is easy to get into and out of, and the side zip adds an extra measure of "class", as far as I'm concerned.
I can only hope the black size 4 is still available in a week, when I return from a business trip and can get to the post office.

I am 5'4" and recently lost weight...and was looking for a comfortable, dress to wear for the holidays. What caught my eye is that this particular dress has a unique look and had an Audrey Hepburnish feel to it. When it arrived, I was surprised that my size 10-12ish figure carried off this style. I don't like fitted dresses, and this dress was forgiving. I have broad shoulders, so I ordered a 12, but easily could have ordered the size 10... I can wear this with an open toe or closed pump and it will look really cute!

First off, I am not sure what "Prussian blue" is, but it looks close to navy on my computer screen. In person, it is a royal that is pretty close to purple. Very pretty color, but happens to be very similar to another dress I have, and I just wanted a change.
My other complaint is that the zipper runs from under the arm to the hip, and the neckline is very high, so it was extremeley difficult to get on and even more so to take off. I was petrified I was going to tear, snag, or even stretch the delicate sheer silk around the neck. Once it was on, it fit perfectly, and my shoulders are fairly narrow, so I think it is more of a design issue than a bad fit.
It was very pretty once I got it on, but I could not get past the color and the gymnastics required to put it on!
