Maybe you have to look like the model and sit like her to make this work. I had high hopes and for some reason thought that it'd work for me in spite of the negative reviews. Oh well. It reminded me of a silk nightgown actually. There was something oddly matronly about it. I'm also kind of busty now (nursing twins) and the dress was not long enough from the shoulders to under my bust line. Going back.

I bought the grey-ish color dress, and I do not love it as much as my other Boden dresses. Perhaps the pink color would provide more pop? The grey is a bit wallflowery. Fit is ok, nothing so flattering that I need to mention here.

This is the first time I purchased from Boden. I measured myself and ordered the dress based on the garment size provided. My bust is 44 inches, and size 14 had cup depth of 43.5 inches so I thought that with the right bra size 14 would be just about right, since I am smaller in the waist and hips. No way the dress is true to the measurements, because I have a couple inches of room in the bust and under the bust, it looks saggy and baggy. A size 12 would have fit me,[...] Since I have a week before I need to wear the dress, I might need to have it taken in to be able to wear it. I am 5'4'', and the empire waist on me sits a bit low, closer to the natural waist. If you are any shorter than me, this dress would not work for you because the empire waist would be too low and look wrong.Otherwise, the fabric is nice, but I would not call it silk, but silk crepe-de-chine. It is a thin fabric, so a slip or some undergarment would be best, even given the cut of the dress. The color is actually deeper and darker than on the picture. The color is very nice.The dress seems comfortable, and the design is nice. Especially the slight pleats at the back of the dress, which make it more flattering from the back. This is a dress that can be dressed up or down for various occasions. It is a sweet dress, but I would not call it sexy.Overall, if you order the right size and if you are not short, this dress is a good purchase.

I bought this dress to wear out with my husband or for special occasions. I wanted something that would look sexy but still classy. This dress is a little too low cut for me in the bust and I think it would look inappropriate to wear a tank underneath (as a usually do when this happens). I also don't like the way it puffs out in the front under the bust line. I like the cut of the dress but am still undecided if it looks right on me. I wish they had this dress in petite.

I have never spent this much money on a dress. But I have two weddings, a dressy dinner event, a cruise, two birthday celebrations and my own Big Number anniversary this summer so if ever there was a time to buy one great dress this is it. And this is one great dress. It fits like a dream, feels so comfortable I don't want to take it off, hides and emphasizes all the right parts, and makes me look both sexy and adorable. The color is flattering and the fabric lovely. And my husband loves it. What more could anyone want?
