I purchased the navy blue, and it's stunning - very well-made, and goes perfectly with the silver sequin placket cardigan. I'm between a 14 and 16 in Boden clothes (thanks to post-baby weight around my middle), and while the 16 was too large in the bust/shoulders, the 14 is too tight, even in Spanx. The shift design is not as forgiving as swishy jersey dresses, for sure. But I'm keeping it anyway as motivation to diet this summer!

Received the dress today. Navy blue w/parchment embroidery looks lovely, but the side zipper on the dress I received is defective. Also a bit tight in the arm opening, and I have thin arms. When I put my arms forward to type, the arm openings bite into my arm. That would be really annoying all day at work. Finally, not a good work dress if you sit a lot--gets rather wrinkly across the midsection rather quickly. If you stand at work and have really thin arms, go for it! Am sending back.

I think this is a beautiful dress, well made elegant and classic, it just doesn't fit me right. I will have to send it back sadly, I might consider in a larger size but think it will then be way too big in bust I wish I could have it re-tailored as a skirt

A must have! I will be buying another one in different color. Boden please bring it back next season!

I had to order this dress even though it is somewhat similar to last year's "Fun Dress" that I have (pewter gray with brightly colored flowers made of ribbon sewn on here and there). This year's combination of the gray with such a gorgeous purple/blue for the embroidery detail is stunning. The bodice is a bit different, and I like the hint of a sleeve. My only problem is that it gaps a bit at my lower back. It's not too distracting, but I think I will take it to my trusty seamstress to see if she can take it in a touch without disturbing the embroidery detail. I plan to keep it regardless, since it seemed like "my dress" right away; great for any occasion where you would like to look polished, yet a little unexpected. I love Boden!

It's a beautiful dress with a wonderful feel. I'm a hippier but not a pear shape, so I was surprise to find that it fit well on top and not too tight in the hip area. However, I could not get the fabric to drape evenly. Don't know if this particular dress not not well made or I needed a larger size for the material to drape well. Not sure to exchange or refund...

plan to go to a wedding...think this will be just righ but not sure about the color. May return it

This dress is made of a lovely, thick fabric with well done embroidery. I wanted to love it; however, the cut of the dress is a little off, for me at least. No matter how I stood, the dress either wrinkled in the back or the front. It wasn't terrible, but for the price, I wanted a better fitting dress. I debated keeping it, but eventually decided that the constant wrinkle would bother me whenever I wore it.

This gorgeous dress just arrived today and I am thrilled that I purchased it. I bought the gray color in 6P (USA size) and it fits very well. I am 127 lbs, 5'1", so it is tough to find styles that are not too long. This falls perfectly just above the knee on me. What is most impressive to me is the quality. It is beautifully lined. The material (both inside and out) is soft and quite substantial. It is nice to get a dress that you can tell will last for years to come. The style is updated and chic, but a true classic silhouette. I look forward to wearing this to work and to my sister's bridal shower. I also got the cropped purple cardigan to go with it -- looks very nice together.

I really enjoy this dress. I am a true skirt and dress kind of girl. To work, I wear this cute dress with a lilac cardigan and silver ballet slippers. If I am going out after work, I lose the cardigan and wear a shiny beady necklace that complements the neckline and a fun bracelet.

I ordered the 12L and had to hem it about an inch. I am not a skinny girl but this dress is very flattering on me.
