I love the purple color I ordered, and I love the crinkly linen texture--so easy to pack and care for! The style is very comfortable and forgiving. I'm a Boden 4 on top and 6 on the bottom; I ordered a 4 and it's just about right. I find the pintucking around the neckline to be a bit stiff and bulky-looking, but I haven't washed the dress yet so maybe it will soften with time. Very airy and a great dress for warm weather.

I love the idea of this dress - the crinkle, the ease of design, but it is really sheer. I didn't plan on having to wear a slip with it, but unless I am wearing a bathing suit underneath it, I'm going to have to wear something. I debated about returning it, but the purple color is great, and I think I can make it work. I also bought it on sale, which makes me feel a little bit better about being on the fence about it.

I'm between a Boden US 8 and 10, and this in a size 8 fits me perfectly. With a pair of leggings, it's perfect for weekends. I love the wrinkly look. The v-neck is perfect; not too deep, so I don't need to wear anything underneath. The short sleeves are long enough to be flattering for someone like me with imperfect upper arms. And the length is perfect, too (I'm 5'4")-- just below the knees. It's tempting to buy another color (I got purple--gorgeous!), except I don't usually like to have more than one of anything.

I like this dress but have to agree with other reviewers that it is big/boxy. It is designed as emprire waist, but does not accentuate the waist enough to make it look fitted or flattering. I will keep it becuase I like the linen fabric to my skin and crinkles, but this is certainly a casual dress, although good quality like most of the Boden. Blue dress is not transperent. I'll use it as an easy, relaxed pull-on dress. I'm 150 lb, 5'7'' tall and wear size 8.
