Be advised that the waist measurement shown in the Garment measurements for this dress is not where your natural waist is but the empire waist (contrasting band). I bought size 2P. The garment measurement for 2P shows 28 inches but that turned out to be the measurement of the band under the breasts. The measurement of the area on the dress which would correspond to the natural waist is 30 inches in 2P. I wanted the dress to be fitted in the natural waist but it's loose in the waist. Even it's a beautiful dress but because of the loose fit in the waist I will be returning this dress. Also, the dress with the ovals allover design appeared to be with the dark brown background but it's a black background. I think the dark brown background would look more attractive.

I wanted this dress badly enough to order a petite with the hope that it would work out. Unfortunately, it did not. However, it is a great style, fabric and design. If a 10 regular were available, I would definitely order and keep this to wear to work and the solid color for dinner out. Don't hesitate to order if you are a petite and your correct size is available!

Ehh. This is one of my least favorite Boden dresses ever. I am not understanding the hype. I ordered the pink spotty pattern, which looks much sillier in person (almost cartoonish, not "fun" like I had hoped). I am 5'7", 130 pounds, size 4/6 in Boden. Ordered the 4 because most of my dresses are 4 and it was on sale - but it was way too small. (So get your regular size or even size up.) The notch neck is cute and the fabric is nice (a textured, stretchy material), with liner attached inside, but it did nothing for my figure (needs more of a waist indentation, especially with my slight hips and curvy figure). Looking at the photo of the model in the navy dress, you can see where it's pulling at her hips and bagging in the waist: wish I would have paid more attention to that. I would guess a stick-straight slender figure would do better with this dress. I considered trying a different pattern, but even at the sale prices, it just wasn't worth it. I kept the kimono dress happily, even though it's more casual, I will get a lot more use out of that.

I really loved this dress when I first saw it,[...]It's a very classy dress; I got the navy and you can jazz it up or mute it down, and the color is very dark and the lavender lining is a sweet detail. I am generally in the 8-10 size range, and I ordered this in an 8 and it fit, but I had to have the shoulders taken up and the sides taken in to get it to look the way I'd wanted, which is more fitted, like the model. I may have been able to size down on this dress if I didn't have such a darn large bust, which this dress flatters without showing much of - a very nice, staple piece for my growing work (professor) wardrobe. One star down because my clearance price ended up closer to the regular price if you add on the tailor's fee.

I have almost worn out my notch neck shift from 2 years ago and loved the new patterns. I have reliably ordered a size 8 for years. Now the size 8 it much too big in chest and hips, but the size 6 is snug in waist/chest band and shoulders! I have found the same problem with other dresses and blouses. I am so disappointed as Boden is my go to company for work clothes and the fit was perfect before.

I ordered the petal aztec spot and it is a beautiful print. This fits me like a glove, which is hard for me to find- I'm 5'8" and quite thin. I wish wish wish WISH that Boden would make a 2L, the only thing I wish was different about this dress was that I wish it was a smidge longer. Wonderful!

I think this is a cute, well made dress. Unfortunately it did not work for my body. It fit my bust (which is ample, 38DD) but then was swimming on my bottom half. I might have been able to alter it but since it's lined, that would be a pain. I've ordered several other dresses and hope one of them works better.

I had to have this altered, as it was too big in the waist and bust, but still worth it because it is such a simple, flattering style overall.

It's a beautiful dress, but the fabric was heavier, stiffer, and less forgiving than I expected. I had a difficult time slipping it on. Not as "easy" as I like my summer clothes to be. I'm returning it.

I ordered the solid navy and received the navy floral print. I love the cut and style. It is incredibly flattering. The solid navy is now out of stock but if it is available again next season I will order again. While lovely, the pattern doesn't meet my needs so it is going back. So disappointed in the ordering system!
