This is a very nice dress, but, as one other reviewer described it, fits like a flour sack. It is snug on top, but huge through the waist and hips. It also will be difficult to alter because the zipper on one side comes all the way down to the thigh. I am still trying to design ways to alter the bottom part, because the dress itself is so pretty. I'm hoping I can add a center seam in the back, as well as altering the back darts. Wish me luck!

This dress will work for so many occasions. I wore it to the church part of a wedding, and later changed into something dressier for the actual party. I felt dressed enough, but not overdone. I did have to shorten the dress as I felt the length was a little dowdy. No problem though, just took the bottom off and reattached. Perfecto!! Oh, love the color -

I ordered this dress in the poppy color. I am a Boden 4/6 and the 4 fit pretty well. I did love the color, and the trim detailing of the dress. The neckline, however, was a dealbreaker. Although the round neckline was eye-catching, every time I moved my head or arms, part of the neckline would pop open. Probably because of the heavy material, it wouldn't lay flat against my neck with even slight movements. After 5 minutes of constantly trying to adjust the neckline, I decided it had to be returned. I also am not sure about the value. Even "on sale," it was very pricey for the quality of dress.

This is another Boden dress that I absolutely love and is getting a LOT of use for work. I ordered the dress in poppy, and it is nothing short of stunning. Every time I wear this dress I get nothing less than 10 compliments a day. The color is beautiful, and the fit is great. I am 5'6", weigh 135# ordered a size 6 regular- fits perfect. The chest area is perfect (34D) and the waist area is a little looser, which for me is nice because it hides those little imperfections. I'm actually considering getting another one....just in case I wear this one out.

In late April I purchased this for a wedding to be held in July. Unfortunately I trusted Boden sizing (I'm always the same size) & didn't try it on till a couple days before the wedding. Yikes - it swam on me! I looked on-line and saw all the other comments about the poor fit! (Too big through chest,waist,shoulders). Too late for the wedding but now it's on sale so I'm trying a size smaller as I still like the color and style!

Unlike other reviewers, I found that this dress fits well. It is flattering to an hourglass figure. I wore the chartreuse version to a wedding luncheon with pewter-colored shoes and felt both comfortable and stylish in a cheerful way. Got lots of compliments from women my age, and my niece's friends all talked to me, too, so I must have looked interesting enough!

This is my least favorite Boden dress ever. Usually, I buy the US 6 and the dress fits like it was tailor-made for me. This dress it too big in the chest and hips; it just looks dumpy. It's too bad because it's a great color (corally-red) and design. If I liked it on me, it would be in high-rotation in the work wardrobe. Oh well, Boden, you can't win 'em all.

The dress is well made, and the color was lovely (red). Unfortunately, it just did not suit me; looked very boxy. I first ordered the US8 and it was a bit snug on the hips, yet something about the top part of the dress seemed unflattering to broad shouldered athletic builds like my own. The 10 was like a boxy sack so back it went. This is one of two Boden dresses that have been unflattering on me; all the rest (I have purchased many) have been great.
