My first time order from Boden. I'm 5"2, 102 lbs, and usually wears size 0 (American size) but ordered 2 petite in Retro Fose and the dress fits great at the waist and the length hits about 1" above my knees. However, it's a tag tight at the armpit but awfully loose at the chest area. I agree with another reviewer that said the chest area shows gaps which is the exact problem with me. When I wear the dress, both sides of the chest area have gaps that show my bra. Not a very flattering view. I decided to return it. No good to wear something that is unflattering even at a good sale. ps: if you have like a DD cups to fill out the gap, then the dress might look good on you.

The dress is a good length and is flattering with its fitted waist. I found the top to be a little too large, even though I am somewhat busty. I was surprised at the looseness around the neck and bust. Otherwise, the dress is beautiful.

I wish this dress had fit me better. I love Boden's lined cotton dresses. This had great quality details in the piped waist band and collar, lining, and sturdy cotton. However, as a US 0, 5'7" 108 lbs, 34B, I found the top to be gaping and loose around the bust, although the waist and skirt fit well. It would have been a tough alteration and the print looked a little busy so I sent it back. Disappointed. This is the second Boden cotton dress I've had that was oddly loose in the top. I do applaud their efforts to create a style with a higher neckline. Tired of the scoop and v necks which are harder to wear to work or church or family events. My friend is 5'2 and 100# she bought the 2P and it looks great on her!

I just love this dress. Being LONG WAISTED most Boden "empire" styles don't flatter me. This, as well as their shirt dresses have a waist that hits too high on me. HOW I WISH BODEN WOULD MAKE DRESSES FOR LONG WAISTED WOMEN.
BUT...this style and design is VERY cute and I can wear it to work, out, anywhere in Florida! Boden cotton is very fine and does not shrink. I know as I have 7 Boden skirts and 2 dresses!
I wore it today and it garnered many compliments...good thing they don't know where my real waist is. :)

I love this dress so much I went back and got another color--the gray print actually doesn't resemble the other two as strongly so I think I'm getting away with it. Anyway, I'm a short, curvy shape with a small waist compared to my hips and this dress really, really works for me. The neckline is beautifully cut, the waist does me every favor it could, and the skirt flares out beautifully to emphasize my shape. I realize it's the end of the season, but if you're thinking about it for next summer, do it. Boden, make this in some other prints!
