The fabric and color were beautiful as was the cut of the bodice. The dress was not too tight but the tulip shape of the skirt where it was wide in the hips and quite narrow at the knees was not flattering. I'm sad to send this back.

Unfortunately I have a little too much tummy right now to feel confident in this dress even though it is a little big. I would look very va-va-voom if I lost a little weight. I am apple shaped and this dress makes my hips look curvier. From behind I looked surprisingly sexy (I have a flat butt), so I think I will keep trying to trim down and hope for my size to become available in blue. Or, Boden, bring this same dress back with more colors please!

Please note that the background color of Sailor Small Spot is actually a medium dusky blue, not robin's egg blue. But the color is still nice. The dress hugs the curves, which I can handle because it's modest in other respects (falls just above knee on my 5'3" figure and does not show any cleavage). I like wearing the dress with flats. Because the dress is unlined, I probably cannot wear this with tights.

The best part of the dress? Someone said I looked hot, which, as a mother of two, I don't often hear.

I loved this dress, the style, the cut, the material....but unless you have a flat tummy or some serious Spanx, this dress will just not do you any favors in highlighting the "problem areas". I'm a size 4 and the 4 fit well except for the tummy region - maybe I'm more self conscious of my pooch and wasnt willing to suck my tummy in all the time. Sad that it had to be returned. I'd still recommend it to those who are less conscious or have excellent body shapers!

I am so glad that I have finally purchased this dress! This little dress is so chic, classy, and sexy. The design is very flattering. I am a bit heavier around my bottom/thigh area than my upper body, but dress covers it very well. I usually ware size 6 with Boden, and it fits true to the size. I tried both green and blue and liked them both, but, with my darker complexion with brown hair, I chose the green. I can dress it up with pumps, but also dress it down with cowboy boots with a jean or biker jacket. You won't regret it, especially for this sale price!!

This dress is very flattering. The skirt hugs the right places while the deconstructed top helps my late 40's less than ripped torso look glamorous. I wear it with tights and pointed suede booties. Lots of compliments. The included separate slip/liner is a bonus that I will use with other dresses.

I receive nothing but compliments on this dress when I wear it. It is very professional-looking. As someone who doesn't have the chest or shoulders for suiting, I am always looking for polished, classic dresses, and this one is perfect. I will say that the design really needs a belt--I found it a bit plain and lacking in the midsection without one. I am 5'1" tall, 126 lbs. A size six fits perfectly, even after washing. The kick pleat is necessary for comfortable movement. The fabric is thick, and the dress is well-made. I will be buying from Boden again.

This dress is wonderful! I have bought it in two colors, black and tan polka dot, and wish I had gotten more before my size ran out. It does ride up a little over the course of the day to the point where I have to tug it down, but it is so very flattering that I don't even care.
