This dress reminds me of the kind of dresses I was able to find about 8 years ago. I got this in the 6R in the pink polka dots. The colors are much more vibrant in person. The fit is very flattering and the material is more silk/like than cotton. I am a 34F so the top fit fine for me although I will probably have to pin it closed. I think this will be great for the Houston, TX. summer or great with tights and some Frye boots! Its just a very classic design. I am 5 8" and the 6R hit mid knee. I think if it would have been available I would have preferred the 6L so that it would have been completely below the knee.

I ordered this dress specifically based on the complaints by other reviewers that it was VERY roomy in the chest. I do not have this problem as a DD gal! The 8 fit me beautifully and is extremely flattering (I'm 5'8, classic hour glass figure--DD bust, narrow waist and wide hips).

However the dress is VERY low cut -- and I'm not necessarily conservative in this regard! I'm planning on having a small cami or lace square sewn into the bottom part of the v-neck to make it a just bit more modest so my assets aren't on display.

The dress is super floaty and swishy and makes you want to swirl around in it! Perfect for spring and summer in Louisiana!

I got the one with polka dots, and when I wore it I got a ton of compliments. It's really cute, floaty, feminine. I did get it one size smaller (a 6 instead of 8) and it fits perfectly.

I spied this dress last year, but waited until it went into clearance to purchase it. It is a lovely dress, but it does have the "overly blousey" issue until you do one thing - attach the top panels to each other, above the bust. It took me 15 minutes to bring the two pieces together, gently fix with a safety pin. Then I removed the dress, turned it inside out and sewed the two pieces together firmly at just that point. (Don't go all the way through the top layer if you don't want your stitches to show.) The dress no longer hangs or droops and is now custom fit and curve friendly.

This is such a wonderful dress! The cut is terrific - very flattering. Be sure to order a size smaller. The fabric is really flowy and drapey, and the patterns and colors are just great. Would love more! This dress is why I love Boden clothes!

I must start with a hooray for new petite sizes. Unfortunately I think this just altered the length in this dress which was a great length on me (5'1") but the top of the dress was also bulky on me not just in the bust area but the width of the straps etc. Definitely order down a size. It's going back and I'm debating ordering down a size and trying again cause it is a lovely dress. It could work either for a nice running around town dress or even a summer wedding.

I do want to add I ordered the floral pattern and the background is more ecru/yellowish and the flower pattern is bolder than depicted. It is pretty but not as depicted online.

This dress is pretty -- much prettier, in fact, than I had expected from the stock photo. It is a lighter, flowier fabric than I had anticipated. As others have noted, the background color is much more yellow-cream than the off-white shown in the digital photo, but the fabric is lovely. The issue for me was in the fit. One the basis of other reviews, I ordered a 2P rather than the 4 I usually take in Boden dresses. The length was perfect, right to the knee (I am 5'4"), but the fit in the bust was off. The band under the bust was very tight, but the bust itself was too large. This dress would look great one someone with a different figure type from mine, like someone with a small band size but large cup size. Unfortunately I am sending this one back.

I ordered my normal size, and it was huge on me. I [...] ordered the next size down, and it was a much better fit. I have a 34 c chest size, and the top is still a bit big on me. If you are very small chested, this dress may not work for you.
