I first ordered this dress in a 10-L because I was worried the fit in the skirt and hips would be too narrow, but it was way too big. Next I exchanged it for my usual 8-L in Raspberry. I got compliments on the color! However, I plan on wearing this dress to church, and the neckline is low enough that it requires a cami underneath. Also, in the 8-L, the bust fit well, but the fit through my waist was still very roomy. Didn't really define my shape as much as I prefer, and it's tricky to wear a belt with this one, because the embroidery is at an empire height of tge waist. So, I decided to return it, mostly because I don't like to bother with wearing camis to cover my bust. The details on this dress are very beautiful and it's comfortable to wear, easy to dress up or down.

I love, love this dress. The fabric hangs just right. I ordered the green, and it was stunning. My husband almost fell off his chair when I walked in! It is beautiful. I am borderline petite by height, but petite bodices don't fit due my larger chest. I ordered the 8R and hemmed it myself.

I had hoped this would be my summer going out dress, but the shape did not flatter me. It was too big through the waist area, but I don't think I could go down a size (I generally wear 6 in Boden dresses).
Good quality however, so I am sad to have to return it.

I am a new Boden customer and this is my first order and review! I love this dress! It is beautifully made and fits like a glove. I especially like that I could choose a longer length for this dress. I have recently had total knee replacements on both knees (and feel great!). Wearing this dress makes me feel beautiful and I'm not worried my scars are showing! Love the way this dress fits. I think side zippers are always the best for a flattering fit. I wore this dress for my anniversary dinner at a chic french bistro. It's easy to dress up with heels and jewelry, but it can also be worn very casually. My husband loved it too! The material is very nice and hangs well. It looks more expensive than it is. I love this dress. I got the Asparagus which is a beautiful vibrant green. The 8P is a perfect fit. I love that the fabric has a good bit of structure to it and is very forgiving. The only drawback for me is that the neckline plunges just a little too low to feel comfortable to wear to work.

I ordered this dress based on the previous reviews. I also used the garment measurements as opposed to the size measurements for fit. Fabric is a good weight, beautiful texture and design. I am 5'10 and 34D bust, the 8R is an absolute perfect fit! I got the Asparagus, beautiful jewel green, I think I need the Raspberry (since it's back in stock!) Will wear mostly to work. Perfect!

This dress is so pretty with it's detail and textured fabric , but it just did not fit well. I'm a size 2 in Boden, but the top of this dress was so big compared to the rest of the dress! It just fell off my shoulders, but was snug at the ribcage. I'm a thin build, 110 lbs 5'4". I could have had it altered, but not for the price of the dress, and the worst part is that it is like getting out of a straight jacket getting it off and on. I destroyed my hairstyle getting it off. The side zipper wouldn't be a problem if they would have fashioned it to open all the way to the top, but the zipper stops about 3inches from the top and so there is no decent opening for getting into or out of it. Sending it back with free return and keeping the fab jersey tunic which fits perfectly!

This dress fits like a glove. Flattering for curvy shapes like mine. I bought originally in Navy in a size larger (based on measurement online) but it was too big. I bought my normal size(had to order the pink color-out of navy) and it's a perfect fit! In fact, it fit so well went online to see what other colors it was available in and Navy was back in stock! I'm wearing the Navy to a business event in Chicago and the Pink to a July wedding! Perfect!!!
