I wanted a dress that I could wear casually, I also wanted something stylish, comfortable and flattering. I was thrilled when I pulled it out of the package and tried it on. BUT... after I had worn it around the house for a short while to make sure I liked the fit, I pulled it off and noticed that the knit fabric already looked shopworn and slightly pilled under the arms and in the seat. I can only imagine how badly it would have looked after a couple of wearings and sadly returned it.

I love the versatility of this tunic. I can wear it to the office with leggings, or out on town with colorful tights. It goes well with boots or flats. This garment is good for winter/early spring because it's warm. The ruched design on front of the dress is nice if you want to draw attention to your face/chest. It has a classic look because it's not drawn in at the waist, but I think that's nice.

I love the smocking and it is a lovely fabric. The bodice fits perfect, I would prefer the skirt to be fuller, but it is OK. I was prepared to either wear this as a tunic or as a dress, I'm 5'6 and ordered the R length, and this is fine as a dress on me. But I wear a lot of short dresses.

I was very surprised by how UNflattering this dress was (a rare occurence with Boden clothes, at least in my experience). It was like a sack on me, not at all the way it looked in the picture (I thought it would be more of an empire-waist style, but no). I returned it.

Very comfortable, just a bit large. If you're in doubt I would size down. I got the grey color and wear it with plum tights and black boots. Looked great. My only whine: I'm 5'3" and it's a bit long. I think if this were offered in a petite size it would be perfect. The sweater knit makes it impossible to hem. More of a dress than what I consider a tunic, but it works.
