I received the navy dress just yesterday and am enjoying wear the dress today! The design is quite nice. I was afraid the bow might be a smidge infantile, but it is fine(and because of its placement, it is reminiscent of lapels).
I don't think the dress is glam enough for an evening party, but it is perfect for nice daytime events (brunch, bridal/baby shower, daytime wedding) or professional settings.
As some people previously noted, the fabric has a matte finish than a sheen to it.

This charming dress is simply lovely to wear! A real beauty! I agree with a previous reviewer that the fabric doesn't have a real sheen to it but still wears very elegantly. I wouln't be comfortable wearing it to a very casual event as the design of the dress lends itself nicely to special occasion or evening wear.
Not a trendy, sophisticated look but wears soft and airy- classically lovely.

This is a beautifully simple, classic design. The fabric is not satiny, but matte with an almost sueded texture and only a very faint sheen in some lights. This, combined with the gray and navy colors and conservative styling, makes me think of it much more as an office dress than as a special occasion dress.
