This dress ran slightly big in the waste area. I normally take a size 6 which I ordered and exchanged it for a size 4. It's a classic dress! It is a little 'shorter in length' than some of Bodens dresses, but with flats it's perfect! I bought the navy colored dress and I wore it to a bridal shower with red shoes (for a little pop!) and I received lots of compliments! I may order it another color if more become available in my size.

I am giving the Collette Dress 5 stars, even though I returned it. Typically a Boden 10, I took a chance on the 8R because that was the one size available in the color teal, this being a clearance item. Based on the garment measurements, 8R could have worked. But alas, reality deemed otherwise, as the 8R was tight. Also, had it been a side zip rather than a back zip, then perhaps I could have squeezed myself into it. Nonetheless, the teal color was vibrant, the fabric thick and high quality, and the retro style was simply gorgeous. I'm not going to exchange because sizing is too limited even in the other colors, and also because the other 2 colors are too subdued that they would not do justice to the superb cut. I was sad to return, and I do envy the person who snags the 8R that I returned and make it work for them. This would have been a hands down favorite.

Bought this with expectations of possibly returning it in my search for perfect black dress. I'm keeping it! This dress is so flattering & I love that it is slimming and has short sleeves as opposed to no sleeves as is typical for most black dresses. The collar and the unique medallion appliques on the front make it dressy & more unique.

I was excited about the dress as the picture showed it to be hour-glass-figure friendly. It hung like a sack on me, but I have a very samll waist. I tried belting it, but it just bunched. The colors--I ordered the blue and pink--are really lovely and saturated. Cute dress--it just didn't work for me.

I have worn this comfortable dress with low heels, kitten heels, to the office and then, at 5pm, changed into sling back shoes and this versatile dress took me into the evening in comfort and my preferable vintage-style!! I have received so many compliments on my 60s inspired dress!! I love it! Actually, I think it looks like a dress Gidget wore in her last movie!

I really like this dress. I ordered my normal size and it's a little big in the middle, but not enough to size down. I also ordered the long and it hits me right above the knee. I'm 5'8" for reference. I gave it four stars instead of five because it's not a total show stopper. But, it's really pretty and I think I'll get a ton of use out of it.

Great retro style dress. Lighter blue color is even nicer than in the catalog. I order from Boden A LOT, and this was the only item I have ever had to alter. The dress was very large through the body on me.
