I wanted to love this dress--I think it looks beautiful on the model, and it would have been perfect work wear for the summer. But on my petite frame, it just hung there. I am 5'2", 115lbs, 32B, and the 2 made me look wide. (I bought the blue, though: it is possible that the seams afford greater definition around the waist in the other colors; it's also possible that high heels, which I can't wear, might offset the baggy cut.) Such a bummer!

I love this dress. The print is fabulous ( i got the the blue one). It is such a classic cut and style. It is super comfy, too. I ordered 6L. I am only 5'6"; but i like the length at my knee, not above. I love having the option to order long...and often do with boden. Thanks.

I love this dress...just not on me. It's a great pattern and cut but was baggy in the waist when it fit everywhere else. I think it would look amazing on a 'Twiggy' style body. It also wrinkled easily as I tried it on twice and it already had wrinkle lines in the arms. So sad to send it back.

I am a little surprised by the negative reviews. I wasn't going to write a review on this dress, but decided to (in its defense) after seeing some disappointing reviews. I took a chance and ordered the bright orange/purple print. I am always a size 4 or 6 in Boden. The 6 seemed a bit baggy (in the wait), but the 4 was too small and uncomfortably tight, especially in hips. I kept the 6 and have worn it twice so far, with funky orange wedges, and have gotten so many compliments. It does fit a little "baggy" at the waist, but I strongly disagree with the "potato sack" comments. The stitching on either side down the front gives an illusion of a curvy, inner waist, so I think it's nice, if not even flattering. Now, the neckline. I LOVE it! It's a slight fold-over round collar - very unique and adds fun and interest to the overall uniqueness of the dress. I'm not sure what the other reviewers mean by it gaping open or being too wide ... (?) One final comment. The vividness of the colors actually varied between the two sizes (and I compared side by side). Though both are obviously bright (um, orange and purple, lol!), the size 4 orange was VERY bright, almost neon, reddish. I preferred the orange of the size 6, slightly darker and more muted. I would recommend this dress. It's one of a kind, especially if you have an outgoing personality :)

So very sad this did not work out. I love the print, but as several reviewers said, it does fit like a sack. If I size down, I'm afraid the hips will become too snug for my comfort. Adding a belt caused the length to shorten, which is something I didn't want to happen, plus I don't think it looked right. I wish I could cinch in the seams in front, back, or sides somehow, but since there is a side zipper and the front and back seams have decorative stitching, it cannot be done. The collar actually lies a bit further out on my shoulders than the model's, not fitting as close to the base of my neck as hers. I also wish it were unlined, as the layer sometimes causes the dress to lay awkwardly, and if the pockets aren't completely flat, then you end up with a kangaroo pouch effect. This dress would be too much effort to alter unfortunately.

Ok, I am still deciding whether or not to return this dress.

I am 5'8 about 135 pounds and I got the 4L. I have a pretty small chest and wider hips. The dress was true to my normal size.

I agree with the other reviews that the dress fits like a bag. But I just cinched my waist with a thin brown belt that I had and the silhouette was perfect. The fabric is a breezy linen, and is very comfortable but a bit wrinkly.

The problem I have is with the neckline. It doesn't sit on my shoulders the way it does on the model. Instead it sticks straight up like a collar, and looks very strange. I'm also a bit afraid of the print which may not be suitable for my work situation.

I'm still deciding whether or not this is a keeper. I start a new job in a month and I will decide based on what other people in my office wear. So we shall see.....

Even better than the picture. I ordered this in a long and it went just past my knees but was still the right length in the waist. Lovely colors and very comfy dress. Thank you Boden! Love it!

I was drawn to the interesting lines and 60s feel for this dress in the photo, but was really disappointed when I got it. The fabric was very rumpled and would have required a lot of quality time with the iron to correct (not my favorite activity). Worse, the dress was very shapeless and sack-like - too loose in the waist to give the needed definition. Sadly, it went back.
