I won't lie: I wore this on Thanksgiving. I wanted a dress that was pulled together, fun, practical, and *forgiving* -- This was perfect.

The lining is too long for the dress, however, and I am having it hemmed because the dress itself is too long and narrow to move well. So minus 2 stars for a dress that is easily fixed and easily loved.

This was my first Boden dress and couldn't be happier. Got compliments on the color from 3 people the first time I wore it. I took to heart the reviews of dresses on the site that they run a little big and I and 6 feet tall and tend to wear 12 and 14, ordered the 12L and it's perfect.

I bought this in the sale in 8R, having had my eye on it for ages. I'm so glad I succumberd - I am size 8 in Boden, 5'3" and 135lb with an athletic build, and this fitted perfectly. The fabric is beautifully soft, the length perfect, and the colors great - I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it, as a dress and a jumper. I love wearing casual dresses and skirts, and this one hits the spot. I especially like the way the pockkets are not set into the side seams, but are postioned towards the front of the dress.

I loved the fit of this dress, however the hot pink (much brighter in person) was in both patterned dresses and really clashed with the other colors and did not look nice.

This was the first time I bought something from Boden. I'm 5'7" and 118 pounds with an athletic build, and I ordered a 4L. I loved the length. It hit in the middle of my knee-cap, exactly where I wanted it to. The fabric was soft, and the garment appeared well-made. I was extremely comfortable! I loved the pockets, the neckline and the sleeve length. The main reason I'm returning it is because the color didn't look good on me. I have fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes and ordered the Haze Wood Cut. But, the cut was a little baggy, too. It's less feminine than I wanted, and it made my shoulders appear broad. I may have considered keeping it if I bought it in a different color, but 2 strikes is too many.

This has a nice shape and is very flattering. I am 5"2 and 110 lbs and can be a 2 or a 4, and in this dress the 4R was too big but the 2R fit perfectly. Since I am petite it is too long but I will have it hemmed.

I am between a Boden US 8 and 10. Last year I got the 10, but I lost a few pounds (yay!) so now the 8 fits great (as long as I don't gain it back). I'm 5'4" and it hits right above the knee. I got the pewter wood cut, which is great because there are so many colors in it. I work in a somewhat casual environment, so this is great for work. You can wear a long-sleeved t-shirt under it for a more casual look, or wear a cardigan over it for a dressier look, so it's very flexible. It's very comfortable, and I love the pockets!

I would have loved to keep this dress but....
I ordered a 10L and 8L to see which would fit better. I am a normal size 10.

What I loved about this dress was the softness. So nice! But the design is a bit busy and this dress is definitely made for a pear shaped figure! It would fit perfectly.

However, for me, the 10L was waaaay too large and the 8L not any better. I exchanged both for 6L. That dress fit from the waist down, but from the waist up it was way too tight to wear it comfortably for even an evening. The slip sewn in underneath was also very tight. So, back went that size too.

I'm sad because I really liked the feel but I must be between size 8L and 6L. At all other stores I am a size 10, so to be an 8 or 6 seems rather odd to me.

Boden - please offer more dresses with cap or 3/4 length sleeves and POCKETS! These dress are so hard to find!

I can wear this great cord dress nearly everywhere. Most days I wear it with a long sleeved tee. Last fall I purchased one in blue and recently purchased the rose and blue floral one. The soft cord fabric is comfortable for year round wear and I love the pockets!
