I bought this dress for a summer wedding. I was really scared because of some poor reviews. But when the dress arrived, there was no need to be worried at all. The dress was absolutely breathtaking. Yes, the dress fits really tight around the bust, and there was no way I could lift my arms up, but it is just the style of the dress. I wish it came in long sizes because it was just a tad bit short. But I definitely believe that the Pros outweighed the Cons.

I bought this dress (in green) in the sale and it is perfect. I was not sure it would work out, as the reviews seem to vary a lot regarding its fit. But I found both the fit and the fabric to be pretty close to perfect for me:
Fabric -- the dress is silk, with a lovely pattern that reminds me (in the very best vintage-type way) of my grandma. On sale, this is a great deal for a silk dress.
Fit -- I agree that the fit will probably depend quite a bit on your build. I am 5'4" 125ish and usually wear a straight Boden 4 (but have taken a 2 in items where the garment measurements indicate that I should). This was no exception -- the dress hits at the knee and is snug and fitted through the bodice, with a nice line to the hem. I have a broader back and smaller cup size, and this worked for me, but I could see where with a bigger bust could have an issue with fit. Another bit I like about the dress is the cut of the sleeves -- sometimes in other retailers I have found the sleeves to be constricting on my arms, but these are cut nicely enough to fit just right.

this looks lovely off but very unflattering and dull on. Too much bulk in front below bust, makes you look larger than you are and then cut too tightly across the bust.

I read the reviews about this dress and ordered it anyway because I was in love with it from the picture. When I took it out of the box I was very excited because it looked beautiful on the hanger. I got the green color and the fabric and pattern are gorgeous! I slipped it on and zipped it up and noticed that when I extended my arms forward the fabric felt tight and pulled. It also feels slightly tight around my chest. The waist and hips however fit perfectly! I am so super bummed about this because I really wanted to love this dress and wear it to a special occasion. Someone who is smaller on top with narrow shoulders may have better luck. I don't have necessarily broad shoulders but it definitely feels too snug. I think going up a size would make it too big everywhere else though. I gave it 3 stars because it is gorgeous and might work for someone with a smaller frame.

beautiful fit. very well made. beautiful fabric. very flattering. the gray background on the blue blossom was drab and did not highlight the colored flowers well. so the overall appearance was underwhelming. the red blossom might be better but i can't tell from the website.

Beautiful, beautiful fabric and print. Even the lining was soft and substantial. However the pleating beneath the waistline pooches out significantly - I looked 4-5 months pregnant! I'm so sad it won't work out.

Absolutely loved the material and the cut across the waist and hips was very flattering as I am pudgy in this area and it helped to conceal in this area very nicely. I measured very carefully but the dress was very big everywhere and I could have gone down one possibly even two sizes comfortable BUT the dress was TOO TIGHT across the SHOULDERS!!! Which usually means the designer has cut the dress for a smaller dress model and then just sized it up on paper!! What a shame! I CAN NOT STAND DRESSES, SHIRTS, BLAZERS or SWEATERS that are TOO TIGHT so it's going back. I am so disappointed as this was the first dress that I found that really went well with a pair of designer heels I that I love in china blue!

When I pulled the dress out of the box I was very excited because the fabric is beautiful... but once I put it on, it was the same problem I've had with all of the Limited Edition dresses. The hips are way too snug - to the point that if I tried to sit down I'm sure I'd rip the skirt in half. I would have tried returning for a size up, but the waist area was so baggy in comparison, that it already made me look like I was pregnant, so I'm sure a size up would have only been worse. Sadly, this is going back to Boden. Boden - please loosen up the hip measurements on your Limited Edition!
