Gave it 3 stars because this is not a jacket that could be worn opened or closed. When opened it hangs too stiffly making it look unfattering. Looks great buttoned though. The pinkish-orange color is beautiful. Really wished it worked for me.

This is a great blazer. It has the features of a double-breasted jacket that others have mentioned: looks bigger when open, a bit boxy. I enjoy it for what it is. It's very comfortable and looks classic. It's very easy to dress up or down.

I was careful to read all reviews,esp. critical ones,and decided to take a chance(...something
about a velvet jacket,and esp. in RAISIN)But had to love it and leave it.This blazer had so many flaws, the most basic being the cut and construction(I'm 5'6, 125 lb, got the usual 6)The back was tight at the top,loose at the bottom, hung poorly, and the front defied proper closure. There were puckers at the back armhole seam. Maybe this was just the odd one of the lot. All other Boden purchases have been absolute keepers. Wish this could have been one, too.

I found that the blazer fit well through the shoulders, but is a little loose in the waist so the overall look is a little unflattering. That said, it is a midweight outerwear garmet good for fall in the Bay Area. I also have to admit that I got alot of compliments when I wore it. Maybe it was that I looked more pulled together than when I wear my usual hoodie. It definitely classed up my jeans.

I should have realized this was double breasted, but I guess I did not look that hard. The fit was good, but I did not like the color at all, raisin and it was too much being double breasted. If you like that this is a good fit.

The raisin color is much deeper than shown in the photo, but it is really lovely. The fit is so-so; too bad the blazer wasn't offered in petite sizes. The armholes are cut a bit too low so that the blazer rises up when I raise my arms. The sleeves are a tad long and since they are vented it would be an expensive alteration. These are minor complaints and overall the blazer is attractive.

Nice jacket, but looks boxy , bulky when left open. The quality is nice, the shoulders are a bit strong if you have more narrow, square shoulders. Jacket looks great if closed, but a little floppy and boxy if left open. Also, sleeves are a little short for the size. Overall, I'm keeping it, but it's not a must-have piee.

I have a large bust and ordered a 12 in this. It finally fit the bust, but everything else was too large. I liked the look and feel, but just couldn't get it to fit me in the chest. (I'm a 34 DD/E.) The material felt durable and looked nice - not super luxurious (the placket dress feels richer), but the buttons surprisingly elevated the jacket above ordinary.
