I'm normally an 8 petite in Boden. Thanks to the useful reviews (and the fact that size 6 was sold out in the colors I liked), I ordered this jacket in regular size 4. It's a great fit. The sleeves come to my wrist bone, the length covers my derriere, and the fit at the bustline is just right, so that the trapeze aspect looks stylish, not overwhelming. I love the soft gray wool and tortoiseshell-like buttons, and also the thoughtful touches of a smooth lining inside the stand-up collar (no scratchiness), the hook-and-eye closure at the collarbone, and the bound seams. It all adds up to the Boden touch, so refreshing after other brands' slap-dash construction.

I absolutely love this jacket, but unfortunately will have to send it back- TOO big. I ordered a size 8, but need a 6 or possibly a size 4. I am 5'7'', 140 lbs. The cinnamon color is a great addition to otherwise drab winter clothes!

Was so looking forward to receiving this jacket but when I tried it out it was so disappointing! I got my usual size 6 but it was huge in the back. Very unflattering and boxy on me. Also the sleeves looked odd and fit just short of being full length. I guess on a tall person with longer arms it would have fit the way it was meant to. The color (cinnamon) was darker and than pictured. I also did not like the sight sheen on the fabric. The quality of the product looked good though, as one would expect from Boden.

Amazing coat! I love the style and design as it is very forgiving. I'm a petite 2 and 5'1 and because it's not fitted it works well for me. In the winter when you are wearing thick sweaters or when I have to wear a suit to work, this coat is beautiful and doesn't constrict what I already have on. I purchased the Cinnamon and the color is gorgeous... Could just pair with jeans just as well. I get complements all the time.

This is an amazingly interesting coat -- it's not a poncho, not a cape -- it's a jacket of sorts. The wool is lovely, the drape & really nice, the fabric is soft & feels to be of a high quality. I love the lining. Higher neckline is great. The problem comes in with the sleeves. The bracelet length sleeves just don't work. They are too short. When one puts on a jacket like this, one wants, generally to cover the arms as we don't always go out wearing a black turtleneck sweater underneath. Boden, this could have been perfect with real, full length sleeves.

I am really too short/petite for this jacket. The bracelet-length sleeves were actually the perfect regular length for me. I felt swamped in it initially, even though I ordered a smaller size than I thought I might need. I took it in for alterations, and all that was necessary was to take some of the volume out of the sleeves. With a little space between sleeve and body, I don't look as much like I am playing dress up. The length is good, and the swing style is forgiving to a variety of tops worn underneath. I am excited now to have such a versatile jacket.

While I like this jacket and love the quality – the lining is even beautiful and comfortable – it's just not flattering. I think it's probably a better style for very slim women – otherwise I think it adds size and bulk that is not flattering. It's well made and in a color I needed, but not sure I'm going to keep it.

This jacket is thin but, remarkably warm. The boiled wool feels soft and not at all scratchy. I bought a size small and it fits well.

This is really a lovely coat, very flattering, cute and comfortable. The wool is so unbelievably soft not at all itchy. I bought the dark gray but I am thinking about getting the cinnamon color too since it is at such a good price on sale.
